Royalton Punta Cana was a much needed getaway for me after losing my husband a year ago. The first day was a little chaotic with a mix up with the rooms but was taken care after a while. The resort itself was beautiful, clean, and huge with everything right there. The restaurant staff was great and always greeted us with a big hello and some with a hug. In the buffet restaurant we always had the best, Rosmery, such a sweetheart, Rodolfo, always right there to serve and Tony, great service. These 3 were the epitome of employees at this resort and always a pleasure. Hope they are there on my next visit. Even with the negativity going on now I would still love to go back!
Punta Cana 2019
I wish I knew where to begin. I’ve been to this resort several times, and every time it gets better and better. The staff is from the time you walk onto the resort is amazing. They greet with a huge smile and welcoming you to the Royalton resort. I want to send a special thank you to Alexander for rolling out the red carpet. I also would like to thank Angelo my personal butler for making sure I was alright at all time you’re the best!! Thank you to the crew at the lobby bar for keeping the cocktails flowing. I’m Erasmo a big shout out for always always making sure I’m having a good time. Lenny Kravitz it was a pleasure meeting you this time and thank you for a great time at the Diamond club bar. Jordy and his team, what can I say. I always enjoy myself your spot as well. Jordy you always have me laughing thank you for that. I’m sending a big shout out to my cutie pie Idia In the casino. Thank you for the great conversation that really meant a lot. I can go on for days about the Royalton casino and spa resort but I’m going to stop right here.I will see you guys real soon..

Excellent hotel, excellent staff. Perfect wedding. The whole experience was amazing. We booked a boat trip to Saona island and visited the 4 beaches. Booked with nexus - Jean was the rep and was so helpful, we had a fantastic day and would highly reccomend this trip it was just paradise the pictures don’t even scratch the surface. We only had a week as we were guests for the wedding so we spent the rest of our time around the pool and beach. The bar staff kept us more than hydrated with a great cocktail menu 👌 and the entertainment coordinators were always on hand to make sure we got up and moved around. Thank you Yohander for making us feel so welcome and giving us some great new dance moves to take home! I can’t believe we have been home nearly a week now it all seems like a dream. Wish we were still there... we will treasure the memories of this holiday forever xxx

My adults kids and I attended a destination wedding at the Royalton last week. While we have traveled all over the world, but this was our first visit to the DR and we were delighted with our experience! First, our butler, Emmanuel, was exceptional! His attention to detail and accommodating our every need was really appreciated. My daughter broke the zipper on her dress and we asked Emmanuel if there was any way to have it repaired. Not only was he very polite and eager to assist, he had it done in one day! Second, Johanna, the attendant at the coffee bar- was an absolute gem! I told her I wanted to practice my Spanish and she was an excellent maestra! Over our 5 days there, she would greet me in Spanish and offer great pastries and coffee. Third, Felix, our server at Grand Marche was outstanding! He was welcoming, funny and made our trip memorable! I have many dietary restrictions and he went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed. Fourth, Zulaiy, at the juice bar...thank you so much to her. Each day she saw me she knew exactly what I wanted in my smoothie! Thank you again for a great experience Royalton; we will certainly be back!
Rated 5 Strikes. Stay elsewhere. Diamond Club not worth it.
This resort was disappointing. We do not feel like we got our money's worth whatsoever. We understood that booking requests to the resort like early check-in would not be guaranteed, but this was one of the perks of the "Diamond" club upgrade and it took too long for us to actually get a room and we felt forgotten and ignored at some point. Strike 1. Our "Ocean View" room was a partial side view of the ocean from the balcony only. We expressed our displeasure to the staff and they advised us to contact our booking agent. The room was dusty/dirty, the bathroom often smelled like mildew. Our faces broke out on this trip. Strike 2. We upgraded to the "Diamond" club but the service was as extravagant as cubic zirconias. We saw our butler (Angelo) twice a day, if that, and the only service that he offered us was booking restaurant/spa reservations. He did not offer any other services that were promised with the "Diamond" club booking. Other resort staff was generally unhelpful. Strike 3. We were told that the first 4 cabanas on the "Diamond" club beach had to be reserved in advance. The others could be claimed by just putting your things on them if they were not already taken. We arrived at the beach the next morning to find the 5th cabana with a reserved sign. All of a sudden, one of the high priced suites "comes with a free cabana". This was never told to us when we inquired about booking and I still don't see this amenity listed in any of the room details. I don't even think the guests who reserved the cabana ever showed up. We were on the beach pretty late that day. Strike 4. Room service was inconsistent and there wasn't one time that the food was good. If ordering later at night, prepare to wait 2 hours for stale and bland food (they'll tell you 45 minutes though). The food at the buffet was also inconsistent. We had dinner at the steakhouse, Italian and hibachi restaurants. The food at the restaurants was good, but one would expect all around great food at such a highly rated resort. Strike 5. We enjoyed the town of Punta Cana but did not enjoy the resort. Stay elsewhere.
