Great room and beautiful grounds
Just returned from our first trip to Provo. We had booked a studio room but ended up with a 1-bedroom suite! What a great surprise! And the room was gorgeous! We stayed in building #8, the furthest from the beach but just steps to the "quiet zone" pool. Each unit here is individually owned and rented through the resort. The grounds are clean and lush and beautiful. The entire staff was so friendly. We ate at the Pelican Bay Restaurant two of our nights there. Good food one night, not so much the second. FYI, you can ask for the bar menu even if dining in the restaurant. Here is where we first encounterd the cats! There is a colony of homeless cats (we counted at least 5) but most of them were very friendly and just wanted to be fed and loved, which we did! The beach is just a short walk down a winding cobblestone-like path. Plenty of lounges with sun umbrellas. During our stay most of them were occupied but it was still so quiet, just the sound of the waves. The sand is so pretty and soft and the water warm with gentle rolling waves. We even had a school of fish swimming around us! One warning I would give at ANY hotel, always use the security bar on your room door whenever you're there. We had an incident of someone finding the wrong room and almost getting access to our room at midnight!
This is a smaller property, which makes it quiet and relaxing. The location on the beach is also not very crowded which is nice. The staff is very friendly and responsive and the front desk can help you plan excursions. The rooms are a very nice size with great balconies. We paid for an ocean view room and actually had a great view of the ocean. The property also has an excellent restaurant which is located poolside. We would definitely come back and stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The landscaping was Gorgeous and the people so friendly! The restaurant on site was really good as well! The kitchen was well equipped but note that everything is really expensive. A loaf of bread was $13. Its worth saving for. Would definitely go back!
Nice Resort very quiet
We stayed at the Royal west Indies resort from may 4 to the 8th A very nice and clean resort with the staff very friendly and eager to please. The beach is beautiful and the water perfect. Rent a car as the taxis are very costly. The Pelican restaurant is OK but having a car gives you the freedom to try other places ,in which most are not close. One place that is walking distance is the Caicos Cafe. Great food and reasonably priced The Casino which is next to the resort is small but not tiny with many local people This was our first visit to Turks and Caicos and we were very happy with the island its people and the resort we picked
Welcoming yet private
We stayed at the RWI resort for one week and had a wonderful time. We stayed in a Botanical Studio Room. This was the perfect amount of space for a couple with a king sized bed. The resort staff were very friendly and continuously took care of the outdoor vegetation and landscaping. We felt very welcomed at this resort, but also felt that we had our own private space and were not disturbed. The evenings were quiet and comfortable. We spent each day out on the beach using the beach chairs and umbrellas. The beachfront was spacious and not overly populated. I would definitely come back here again to stay. My only recommendations would be to have some type of stovetop included in the kitchenette if you prefer to make your own meals and that there was a gym available onsite. This was truly an incredible stay and I would highly recommend it for couples and singles alike.
