Nov 07, 2025Totally inaccessible even when they claim they are!
I would rate it at zero if possible. Said they were accessible. I ride a scooter. Could not use the ramp as it ended at a locked door and when asked to open it they said it is now a storage space and I had to go out to the road and around the building to the lobby. Argued with me about how having an elevator in their 7 storey hotel made them accessible. Then, when we attempted to go to the pool I found there was no ramp to the pool and again I had to go back to the lobby and out to the street to get to a path to the pool. My 82 year old partner had to walk all the way around to be with me. Absolutely not an accessible hotel. Signage for accessible routes are incorrect and made for even more distance travelled.

The hotel is great but: Be advised that if you are the pool you will be listening to a very loud jack hammer from 9 am on all day. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations on the exterior facade

Great location and everything is walking distance. On site restaurant located on the water with great views. Reasonable prices for the rooms.

We were very happy with our stay
We had a great stay, staff was super accommodating. There was a slight hiccup at check in but the staff spent about an hour finding a way to fix it. I was very impressed. Room was clean and tidy and cleaning each day was fabulous. We did the luau, which was awesome.

Royal Kona Resort
The location was perfect. Very convenient to shops and restaurants. The atmosphere was beautiful. Good value for the room, especially with the view!!! The room was very clean and spacious. From the front desk to the maids the service was awesome!
