Do not book this place!! The pictures are not updated!
I visited this place for my birthday weekend and I hated every moment! I booked this place because of some of the reviews and images shown on their website.... big mistake! No room service, rooms were HORRIBLE. The safe was sooo unsafe, it looked like it had no lock, the bathroom had rust behind the door, the walls were extremely dusty. I added a photo that shows where I wipe it and where there’s still dust. We were not able to take food to our rooms! When I called for housekeeping no one answered from the time I called until the time I checked out. I had to send one of my cousins to ask. This was disappointing but the staff made up for it and the food! Amazing staff, the place just needs major renovation!
Attended here with my partner for our first ever holiday together! Extremely friendly and welcoming staff throughout the hotel, always happy to help if needed. Food was good, wide range of choice, with breakfast being available until 11, with a snack bar available throughout the day and again in the evening. Overall, very impressed and pleased with the stay! Thank you to the Royal Decameron and it’s staff!
First break away.
Very pleasant first holiday away with my other half. The hotel was great, food was good and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Beach is nice and the hot tub was a in regular use by us. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so relaxing. ✌🏼
Don’t waste your time here
I’m going to break it down very for you. I have traveled to Jamaica now almost 15 times and I travel often for work. Resort would not grant early check in which is ok however they say leave your bags and go to the resultant and get food. One problem none of the restaurants are open. So now no room and no food. I return and ask what to do. They shrug and tell me to walk down the hip strip (at 10:30 am hardly anything is open) and find something... Very welcoming so far I was greeted with misinformation and now am being directed to walk along a area outside of the resort... So twice a day there are hours of time you can’t get food. Both in the morning and afternoon. They have a hamburger and jerk chicken bar. I question if the hamburger was meat and if they put any spice on the chicken. Pass. No one in our group of 7 liked anything there. We suspect they get you boozed up on watered down drinks and dump this garbage food on the drunks. The buffet was hit or miss...if they had food... one night we got back at like 8:15 and all they had was literally scraps and when asked if they are putting out more food we got a big no. So we went to our rooms with bread and whatever cold cuts they had left for sandwiches... all inclusive eh? We passed the restaurant which had two couples in it and like 15 open tables we asked if we could slip in or even take out and got denied. The rooms need to be at least painted or upgraded. They are dated and I shouldn’t have to stare at stains on the ceiling at night before bed. Tvs shouldn’t matter on vacation but when your tv is 22 inches and the only entertainment after 11 this should be considered. The showers would literally go from ice hot to scolding hot. And I don’t mean when you adjust it. It would just happen randomly. That was kind of fun The grounds are well kept however also shows signs of heavy deterioration . We seen a female guest walking along the boardwalk nearly fall through when the very old board broke on part of the boardwalk by the sunset wing. Luckily she didnt get hurt. We noticed much of this boardwalk is badly damaged and shows no signs of repair or renovations.
Security AND staff begged cigarettes and asked us to get them food from the buffet, security asked us to charge her phone and we found her a outlet but "her cord was too short" was not going to charge her phone in our room. Security lady kept wanting to know "where are you going what are you doing" when leaving room.. Was she going to rob us? Choked on a bay leaf left in tomato sauce, they ran out of food twice, questionable meat, cheap no brand liquor...will NEVER go back to Jamacia or a resort with the royal decamaron name.
