2nd Visit Was Better The First Time
This is our 2nd visit to this resort and 14th time to Jamaica. The good stuff.... some of the staff were great while others never spoke. It was hit and miss. Live entertainment airing dinner was nice and the beach was great as well. Some of the best staff was Okeim, Brittany, Ordain, Germain, and the housekeeping staff. The resort is 50 years old so it does need updates, but was clean. I would recommend the add variety to the bugged and NOT repeat so many foods over and over, we were only there 8 days. I would also like to see a designated adults only section, the resort seems to cater to families with children and locals. Not sure we would return for a 3rd visit.
Love this place
I can only say that this resort is a little island paradise and I would return again. Great accommodation in an unique spacious and very clean cottages ,wonderful people around from everywhere but most from Europe, food is ok, for us this is not important ,beautiful view and beaches with clear water .We loved it form the beginning but if you are looking for luxury ...this is not your place. It is very different form the other Caribbean resort .We were two couples and all enjoyed it very much ...I almost forgot to mention the entertainment was awesome and professional .
Dress code in Restaurant
Great holiday, great staff, only one complaint dress code in restaurant, or the lack of it, big lady's in restaurant, morning, launch, and evening half naked in bikinis and wet swimwear, nothing else covering them up. They were next to me when l was getting my food in restaurant how unhygienic is that.Did complain, no response.
Very Pleasant Resort
Absolutely loved the bungalow style rooms some of which are right on the beach. The bar staff were extremely nice but your liquor selection is pretty limited. If you don't like rum, slim pickings on choices after that. The food was average trending to go more towards Jamaican and Mexican. Breakfast was fabulous though. Front desk was friendly I would recommend this resort for couples or singles but not for families. Ohhhh, the view of the water is Great!!!!
Charming and rustic. Simply the best.
We arrived on May 6th for 2 weeks, the reception staff greeted us and promptly showed us to our beachfront cottage which was lovely and quaint. Everything from then on was uninterrupted bliss. The sea is beautiful, calm and clear with some fish here and there, there wasn't much seaweed and the sand was soft underfoot. I spent all my time swimming and didn't use the pool once, which isn't like me at all. Food was healthy and delicious with enough choice for everyone. All the drinks especially the cocktails were superb especially the banana shakes and mango and strawberry slushes which I had with vodka. Entertainment was brilliant especially the fabulous Decameran Dancers, they were (Simply the Best) In all if you want a real sense of Jamaica rather than the massive hotel complexes that are normally on offer then give this place a try. I would describe it as heaven on earth. Well done guys. X
