I just left from staying at the RIU Sante Fe. I have stayed at numerous RIUs and this one had will be added to my favorites! I will be back. Check in: Although the check in process was entirely too long, I can't blame RIU that's just what time everyone arrived that day. We stood in line for 45 mins before we even got to the front desk. Dany checked us in and this is where I became a little irritated because they gave me and my friend a king bed instead of a double beds. They offered to move us in 2 days but who wants to unpack everything and pack it up again just to move. Also, they did not offer to take our bags to the room so we had to carry our bags to our room and up the stairs because there are no elevators. Rooms: the room was nice and spacious. Clean to a certain extent but I always clean on top of that. The walls could be a bit cleaner and use a good scrubbing but that's not enough to give this a negative review. I requested water, soap, garbage bags and towels and they were very prompt with responding and brining it. Pools: the pools were cleaned everyday but there are a lot of bugs floating in the pool but there's nothing you can do about that. The pool areas were clean! Plenty of chairs. The pool behind the resort over looking the ocean was my favorite place to hang out! Entertainment: the entertainment was ok but some of the themes were a little boring. Food: food was good. I usually love the breakfast but this particular RIU the breakfast wasn't that great and most of the options were cold. I love the omlete station but the lady working it wasn't very pleasant. One thing I loved is you didn't need reservations to eat at any of the restaurants. I wanted to enjoy the steak house but somehow every day we tried between 6:30pm-7pm and was told they were full for the night. So maybe they need to use a bigger space for the steak house. The Asian, Mexican and Italian restaurant were delicious. The American Country one was my least favorite. My all time favorite was Tiki Taco they are open from 4pm-11pm and the tacos are AMAZING! Here's some honest feedback please add some chips to that area lol. Drinks: the drinks were good! My only complaint is the mimosa at breakfast. They call it a mimosa but it's not. I believe they are using white wine instead of champagne and it's not good. We had to go to the sports bar to get a mimosa to go and take it to breakfast! Staff: overall every staff person I encounter was nice but there were a few that were not. My girl Lucy and Cal are amazing bartenders and make the best drinks! Lucy is at the bar by the stage and Cal hangs out by the pool! Spa: I usually go to the spa every time I am on vacation but this time decided to get a massage by a local on the beach and it was amazing and the best 45 dollars I spent on on hr massage! RIU party: we were there for the neon pool party and it was a great time but my advice would to be to get there early because it fills up very quickly! But overall I had an amazing time and will be back!

Had a lovely time here. We were nervous it would be too much of a party resort but it wasn't at all. The pools were very relaxing and if you wanted a party vibe you could attend the parties they had there. Food was okay, but that is to be expected at an all inclusive. They had little events every night to keep people entertained. Overall, not a bad place to stay if you're looking for a cheaper vacation. Some of the villas don't have elevators so be prepared to walk some steps. Walking distance of jet ski and water taxi excursions.

Took my wife for her birthday, along with our 2 children( 4 & 1 year old), we all had a blast! RIU Land kiddie swim park, was incredible! They also have a daycare on site. Highly recommend!

I was there in 2023 , and again this November 2025. The service , food selection in 2023 was excellent. This year it was just the opposite. They did not fix the TV and on the final day they want to change my room. There was mould in the bathroom , and dirt all over in the room . I would not recommend this location.

Will Returning to this place again
This is my second time being at the real Santa Fe first time me and the husband second time family trip and I say it hits every mark for a family trip or husband and wife trip. People are travelling alone .service people are awesome friendly, food is always great and cleanliness all throughout the resort is awesome.
