The managment should run courses showing other hotels how its done. Really. 100 % credit.
This really is an excellent resort that ticks every box. We arrived and had pre checked in on the app. Asked for an upgrade to a beachfront room but they were fully booked. Our side sea view was in block 3 and the view was lovely of the pools and beach. The room is big with optics inthe room beer water soft drinks. The app makes EVERYTHING easy. The service throughout was with a bright smile. Denton & team in the dining room were 5 star and decorated our table for breakfast and always found s a seat with a beach view. We didn't tip until the end of our trip so they were just doing a great job. We found the animation team charming and hardworking. Laughed every day in the adult pool at 3pm and in the evening s they are super dancers. The Rock show was 1 hour 20 of non stop dancing! amazing. The food in the buffet was good enough for all. The only downside was the " speciality resturants". Held hostage by 5 peices of cold Sushi! The service was so SLOW in these places that at one point a guest went to the buffet - got a plate of food and brought it back to the table while waiting. They really need to hurry it up and finish them by 9pm so we can see the entertainment. Those who aren't bothered can sit down at 9pm! The steak resturant the fillet steak was great and service great otherwise donot bother... On leaving we ordered towels to our room at 11.10, club sandwiches and cocktails at 11.30 , porter at 11.50. All arrived bang on time. The managment should run courses showing other hotels how its done. Really 100 % credit. By the way, the beach is STUNNING and even though the weather apps were saying tropical rainstorms we had 10 mins of rain for the week. Guests were Canandian, Americian and UK with a few Germans. All were lovely. Are pet hobby was to lean in and say "So what do you think of Trump" - and sit back - apologies ... But interesting. We did the catamaran trip - $50 per person. Tip - unless you are a diver, don't bother getting off at Ricks - just watch from the boat. otherwise good job. Defo staying at another Rui as we loved the holiday.

May 15, 2025Beautiful hotel but entertainment and staff let it down
Okay so am honest review of the hotel. The hotel was beautiful, the beach gorgeous and housekeeping were very good and any problems we had in our room dealt with swiftly. The white and neon parties were the highlight of our stay. Shellyann who worked as a server in the plaza bar was brilliant fun and looked after us and made an effort with us that we didnt receive from anyone else our entore stay. The food was nice with plenty of options and a la cartes were lively with the steakhouse being a particular highlight. Now for the bad sides of the hotel. It's very americanised and catered entirely for them. The service we received was very hit and miss despite tipping everytime. Some staff were pleasant and attentive but most were not and were quite ignorant but seemed to make more effort with Americans. Entertainment staff never seemed to make an effort to talk to you unless you were American and barely spoke to us our entire 2 week stay. The entertainment let's this hotel down massively after 10pm there is literally no entertainment and is only 1 werk program again catered for americans who inly stay there 1 week at a time. The 2nd week of us being there was de ja vu.The drinks here are not very great and are overly sweet and syrupy. The drinks at riu negril were way better. The ladies working in the coffee shop looked miserable and was quite rude. Overall it was a nice relaxing holiday but would not go back there ever again due to the lack of entertainment, terrible drinks despite trying lots of them and the way we were treat compared to Americans.

JULIAN GETS THE JOB DONE!!!
Julian, from customer service, is EXCEPTIONAL!!. My friend, and I, stayed for 13 days a couple weeks ago and Julian went out of his way every time we saw him to help us in any way that he could. Great attitude, and even better person! Thank you so much Julian! You’re why we are RIU Diamond Class members! We just keep wanting to come back for more!

Best vacation ever
The employees are exceptional and they make you feel like you would be at home. The food is very good. The place is very clean and the drinks are awesome.
