Accommodations are junior suites and feature Free WiFi, a flat screen TV, a mini-bar, and liquor dispenser. Guests will love the Victorian-style decor, the pool area beverage service, the nightly entertainment, and non-motorized watersports. RiuLand Mini-Club provides activities and fun for kids ages 4-12.
Sports and activities include table tennis, volleyball, windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, and body boarding. Every evening, the RIU staff puts on an entertaining show for its guests. Looking to dance the night away? Down the beach, at Riu Negril, Pacha Disco is open six nights a week, and entrance and drinks are included! Celebrated our 20th couple's anniversary at the RIU Palace Tropical Bay from Sep 23 to Oct.4, 2024. It was perfection. •The beach: 5/5 ++ wow, wow, wow !!!! Sand, no corals, no seaweed (a little of sea grass that floats around but nothing growing on the ocean floor) •The activities and resort atmosphere: 5/5 Great entertainment staff •Buffet: 4.5/5 (the food was amazing, lots of variety, fresh ingredients, best we've ever had, better even than some 5-star top notch resorts in Mexico... - BUT some of the staff were pushy to have us in their section so it made us feel uncomfortable) •Specialty restaurants: to be honest, we only tried the Steakhouse and the Japanese restaurant. It was great, (the Steakhouse was better), but because it's 2 seatings (1st is at 6.30pm and 2nd starts at 8.15pm), we felt rushed. •Food and drinks: in general, 5/5 •Service: 5/5 ++ Everyone went above and beyond. Best service we've had in an all-inclusive resort. Shanisse (housekeeping), Beverly (at front desk), Judith (server at the beach). Exceptional. We had an issue with the A/C on the 1st night (very fouled air). We made a remark on the very same night. They sent someone to spray air freshener but it didn't work. Woke up in the middle of the night because the smell was so bad it made me nauseous (it smelled like mold and sewage). Spoke with Beverly at 7.30 am. She told us that we would be offered a different room, no worries, and to go have breakfast, pack our bags, and call the reception once ready. At 9.45am, we were in our new room. It was perfect (villa 4). She and the management took the time to understand what the issue was and made the necessary changes and prevented what could have been a disastrous experience. It was one of the most memorable vacations EVER. Thank you to Beverly and the management team for everything. We will be forever grateful. My husband and myself WILL BE BACK, guaranteed. As a travel agent, I wanted to know why my clients loved that resort so much and now, I know why. I will definitely continue to recommend your establishment, with highest praises. My stay was lovely. My room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is that my Beats headphones were left in the room. Unfortunately, the staff claims not to have seen them and no follow up on behalf Riu staff despite their promise to do so.

Stay at tropical palace
Could have been cleaner. Sheets had nail polish stains and other small sorts and weren’t change when requested - they just re made the beds with the same sheets. Everyone was very sweet and amazing the staff are so wonderful. In September (middle to end) it rained A LOT. We asked for an umbrella and called twice no one brought it. Had to walk in the pouring rain to get food. No elevators sadly

Great Riu hotel
Stayed at this lovely hotel for my 60th birthday at the beginning of May. Great chilled out vibes here. Delicious food (particularly the jerk chicken served in the beach at lunchtimes), and plenty to choose from. The hotel is spotlessly clean and our room was cleaned daily, and towels refreshed. Thanks to the staff for this. Clean pool area with plenty of room for everyone. Enjoyed the pool and beach service from the waiters, who always served us with a smile. The beach is lovely with plenty of sunloungers and shaded areas for everyone. The water is warm and shallow and we spent a lot of time in the sea. The evening entertainment was ok, and was just right for what we wanted from the holiday. Very pleasant and warm staff at this hotel where nothing was too much for them to help you enjoy your holiday and stay at this Riu hotel. They’re a credit to the chain. Highly recommended.

Fantastic hotel
Amazing holiday… Staff were brilliant, wide range of food and different restaurants to dine in, lovely and clean.. Beaches were spotless and the usual sellers on the beach was a given but they were not permitted beyond the first row of sunbeds so if you don’t want the hassle don’t use the first row… Went on a boat trip to see the salt water alligators ( which was fantastic and the guides really knowledgeable) and to the a waterfall but there was a thunder storm so only stayed there for a quick drink.. Family went snorkelling which they throughly enjoyed and then onto Rick’s bar which they liked but said it was very expensive for the food and drink…
