Mar 17, 2025Enjoyed Our Visit Very Much
Employees were all very polite and attentive. Resort was very clean and well kept. Service was great. Food selection was great, although we did find the buffet food to be cold most of the time. Pools and beach were very nice. The bar area in the swim up pool had a bad odor, like vomit. The only other concern we had was the pillows. If you could call them pillows at all. Very flat, squishy with little balls of foam in them. This is why I gave the sleep quality a 3. Otherwise the room and bed were fine.

My husband and I came here for his first trip out of the country. He was not a beach person before but he is hooked. The hotel was lovely, food was excellent and the staff was very friendly.

Good food, close to the beach and beautiful views
Overall, the Hotel Riu Palace on Paradise Island was great. The food was really good and even better at the specialty restaurants. The beach was really nice and the water was blue, clear and excellent for swimming. It was really nice not to have to walk far from the hotel to the beach. The pool bar was awesome with an infinity edge and it was warm. You could see the beautiful blue ocean from the pool bar infinity edge. There are plenty of locals asking you to purchase things while on the beach, but make your wishes known up front and they generally didn't hang around bugging you. The town felt very safe and we didn't have any issues walking to town to and from the hotel.

Last minute getaway
The food, drink and entertainment was wonderful. The staff at the buffets and restaurants were outstanding. It was hit and miss for us at the service desk and although some bartenders were very friendly, others were ok (even though we tipped every time). Also, the beach staff was very nice and hard working. Unfortunately, our room’s HVAC was loud especially while sleeping. Otherwise the room and shower with soap, shampoo, robes was nice.

Great Honeymoon hotel
Our honeymoon was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a special welcome treat that set the tone for an unforgettable stay. The room was absolutely stunning—elegantly decorated, spacious, and with breathtaking views. The private balcony and jacuzzi added the perfect touch of romance. We were even surprised with a beautifully arranged honeymoon setup, complete with rose petals and a complimentary bottle of champagne! The service was impeccable; every staff member went above and beyond to make our stay special. From personalized recommendations to small gestures like hand-written notes, we felt truly pampered. The dining experience was exquisite. We enjoyed a romantic candlelit dinner by the beach, where the gourmet cuisine and fine wine made for a perfect evening. Breakfast in bed with fresh pastries, tropical fruits, and delicious coffee was another highlight. The facilities were top-notch. The infinity pool overlooking the ocean was a dreamy spot to relax, and the spa treatments left us feeling completely rejuvenated. We also enjoyed a private sunset cruise organized by the hotel, making our trip even more memorable.
