Very family oriented resort, service was great! Pools were well cleaned, warm but clean. Games/events were very fun and the drinks were wonderful

Excellent Service
Like always Riu's in México are the Best they never disappoints. Excellent customer service food was Delicious room extra clean.

Riu
Had a wonderful vacation. Resort was clean, food was very good, beach was beautiful, and kids loved the slides. Only criticism was the see through shower doors.

Jun 11, 2025Loved Sanchez in Square Bar, but problems with food prep and temperature
Our vacation the first week of June was amazing. The bartender in Square Bar, Sanchez (photo follows) really made our vacation special. He is so personable and his drinks were amazing. We went to the bar he was at daily. We noticed that many of the resort patrons also visited him daily. So much fun! Resort Pluses: Cleanliness, friendly and efficient employees, Riu's transport was perfect, rooms were wonderful. Housekeeper Carmen, exercise person, Nacho, and adult pool bartenders Frank and Luis were very special. The premium liquors and specialty drinks were amazing. Cons: Mainly the food. Although there were many, many choices, the food was usually lukewarm and tasted pretty bad. We had 4 adults in our party who are not foodies and we all felt the same way. Did we starve all week? Absolutely not, but after trying several of the a la carte restaurants we chose the buffet for dinner since we could find something we all somewhat enjoyed (not loved). We all answered "it's okay" when responding to "how is your food". Entertainment: Not much available after dinner until late night. The piano bar area was packed and the pianist was very good, but it would have been nice to have some dance music and a singer indoors. We went to Riu Dunamar for their Neon Party at 7 which was the advertised time it would start. Since there were no seats we stood around tables awaiting the show, but it didn't start til 8. In the meantime we tried to order our standard drinks, but they had only inexpensive liquor brands and I think just one beer choice. If this is how any "non-Palace" Riu's work, we would never consider those. Bottom line...We loved the resort and the bartenders and other staff, but would have to think about going back to the resort mainly due to the taste of the food.
