Everything was great with the exception of my room toilet non-operational. It was such an inconvenience two nights in a row , first and second night after arrival to go all the way to the lobby to use the bathroom with children at 4:00am. I do hope it’s a better experience on my next visit. Staff and service was very courteous and friendly.

A Wonderful Family Vacation
this was my first time in Jamaica and I'm so glad our family chose to stay at this all inclusive resort! The service was impeccable! Not an attitude to be found and I really appreciated that. The staff was very warm, engaging and accommodating. The grounds were pristine and the weather was perfect. The food was very good and the entertainment was on point. I would definitely choose Riu all inclusive resorts again!

The food was good, our room was clean. The view was beautiful, there were lots of activities on the property to partake in every single day and night. We used the app to keep abreast of all the activities, opening and closing time for the pools and restaurants. When our toilet got clogged we used the app to request assistance and they responded speedily. We also used the app for to request a bell boy to assist with our bags, to get fresh towels etc. This was my second time staying at Riu Ocho Rios and I loved it! Will be returning again lol

Jun 18, 2025Unsafe Experience, No Accountability – A Disappointing Stay at RIU Ocho Rios
I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at RIU Ochos Rios demands one. At 3:30 a.m., an unauthorized guest entered our children and au pair’s room while they were sleeping. This horrifying breach of security was reported immediately. We were told by hotel staff—including a manager, Mr. Price—that the individual was checking out. That turned out to be untrue, as the guest remained on-site the next day Additionally, we also had a flooding toilet in our room, adding to our disruption. We spent hours dealing with hotel staff, rather than enjoying our vacation. Despite escalating to corporate customer service & PR, no refund or accountability was offered. Their only response was that they couldn’t find a key record issue, which completely misses the point: our room was entered, and our children’s safety was compromised. RIU’s failure to take responsibility for such a serious incident is unacceptable. We will be reporting this to local authorities and sharing our experience widely to protect other families.

A Great place With Great people.👌⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Our room was great. 3rd floor Building 2. We were right off the elevator and dead center, beach front. Perfect location. 2304. Food at the main buffet was great. We tried 2 specialty restaurants and they were mediocre. But edible. The Italian and the steakhouse. All in all though. Great resort. Plenty of bars, always something to do and the White Party was lots of fun. They went All Out. We'll definitely be back.
