    Good choice for an all inclusive stay.

    From the moment we arrived we felt the warmth and kindness of the staff that persisted throughout our stay. Check-in was silky smooth. Since we arrived early enough to enough the amenities, we were directed to a private room in the lobby to change, and spent the first day at the pool. The pool was great, and we had a perfect view of the ocean. The room was adequate and comfortable, though ours was quite far from the dining area, something I will try and avoid next time. At least we got our steps in, lol. Speaking of food, all our meals were great, from the restaurants to the buffet. No complaints. The drinks we had at the pool area were okay, nothing special though. No top shelf liquor was available, which was fine, if all you wanted was the frozen mixed drinks that most people were ordering. Red Stripe was the beer of choice, I don't think they offered any other varieties on tap that I was aware of. Overall, a nice choice of hotel, I would recommend for an all inclusive.

    Amazing Experience!!!

    I had an amazing time at the Riu Montego Bay for a solo spring break vacation. Everyone was so helpful and made me feel safe. I'd definitely return.

    Holiday fir my 60th Birthday

    My husband had read quite a few reviews on this hotel 2 weeks before we went, & what he had read had us very concerned. Having booked this for my 60th Birthday I was quite worried about what we would find when we got there. But when we arrived we couldn’t of been happier, for us it was perfect. My only criticism is ladies walking into the buffet lounge & at the bar in bikinis & a flimsy cover up in the evenings. I think when men are asked to put a shirt on & cover up in the evenings so should ladies. That apart the hotel was spotless , the rooms were fab & mini bar & optics refilled every other day. The staff were so friendly & helpful & out waitress Sasha & waiter Michael were just amazing people. We really had the holiday of a lifetime.

    I WILL RETURN

    MY STAY AT RIU MONTEGO BAY WAS AMAZING..FOOD WAS OKAY, STAFF WAS FRIENDLY & HELPFUL ALOT OF POOL ACTIVITIES, NIGHTCLUB WAS A VIBE, 24/7 SPORTS BAR WITH POOL TABLES.. I RECOMMEND 27/27 LOUNGE, PIER ONE & TABOO FOR OFF RESORT PLACES TO GO..MY ONLY DISLIKED WAS THAT THE POOL CLOSES AT 6PM AT THE RESORT 👎🏿

    I will definitely be returning

    The Riu is a very solid option for me. Rooms are decent, food is good, tons of activities but overall the staff is the best part. Amazing service through and through. The only reason why it’s not a 5 star rating for me is because 1. there’s no room service. Instead of room service there’s this “sports bar” that doesn’t have real food. Cold sandwiches, nachos (I think) and lukewarm Pattie’s. Lots of drink options though. 2. the entertainment is wack because it clearly caters to tourists. I would much rather Jamaican culture be on display because well, that’s why people go there. There’s plenty of opportunity to allow guests to experience authentic Jamaican culture on the resort without it feeling commercial, forced or cringey. Not trying to leave North America to hear trap or 80’s rock. Two thumbs down please, take it off the menu. Overall I’m satisfied and will be returning.
