The impressive Riu Caribe, with its Mayan-style architecture overlooking the crystal-blue waters of the Mexican Caribbean, is the perfect site for a fantastic vacation. Riu Caribe features 506 luxurious ocean-view guestrooms with unique RIU amenities such as a mini-bar and liquor dispenser.
The 24-hour all-inclusive feature includes a wide array of restaurants, bars, snacks, and beverages, as well as a fun and relaxing atmosphere created by the large swimming pool and a spectacular beach. Facilities include two freshwater swimming pools, a diving pool, a solarium-terrace, a gym, sauna, a steam bath, Jacuzzi, and the Renova Spa. Complimentary 24-hour WiFi is also available in the common areas of the resort (available in rooms for an additional charge).
All meals and snacks are included at Riu Caribe. A hot and cold buffet is served for lunch as well as pizzas, pasta, salads, and assorted desserts. Dinners include buffets and dishes prepared on the spot with a theme buffet twice a week. àla carte choices include Mexican, Asian, and a Grill and Steakhouse. Each room boasts a minibar and liquor dispenser that is replenished regularly.
The fun, exciting atmosphere of Cancun is just steps away. There is also a plethora of activities in-resort. Daytime activities include table tennis, volleyball, windsurfing, catamaran, snorkeling, and more. At night there are shows, live music, and the Pacha discotheque. The sports bar is open 24-hours!
Greening Your Life: Part of the Apple Vacations Greening Your Life initiative, this property has implemented a sustainability system that has met criteria and has been approved by Travelife. All 10 Riu hotels in Cancun and Riviera Maya, Including Riu Caribe, have obtained a Travelife rating of Gold. This is the highest rating in the Travelife Sustainability System implantation.
Aside from the use of biodegradable cleaning products, the resort uses environmentally-friendly fabrics and recycles organic waste to generate compost conditions. A waste management plan has also been approved by local authorities. This includes replacing small, one-portion packages with bulk products to create less waste and use less trash bags, and appointing a hazardous waste manager who is in charge of collecting printer, toner, and photocopiers. Vegetable oil is also recycled and reused.
An awareness campaign has been started by placing posters of good environmental practices in different areas of the hotel. A Green Book has also been developed, where guests are invited to participate in caring for the environment through the development of sustainable activities.

Spring Break Policies -
1. Student / Spring Breaker Groups (21 years of age or older) will be accepted ONLY at Riu Cancun & Riu Caribe.
2. All Student / Spring Breaker Group reservations are strictly On Request and will be reviewed on a case by case basis by the corresponding Destination Sales Department. RIU Hotels & Resorts reserves the right of admission and may reject any request at its sole discretion.
3. If a Student / Spring Breaker Group is accepted:
a. The number of rooms will be deducted from the contracted allotments
b. Minimum Age requirement: 21 years of age or older.
c. The Hotel may request proof of age in the form of passport or official ID
d. Each room must submit a signed liability agreement upon check-in.
4. At all other RIU properties Student Groups / Spring Breakers (either groups or individuals, regardless of age) are not allowed at any time during the year.
5. Guests disturbing or generating complaints from other guests or hotel may be removed from the property, at their own expense.

Great hotel, wonderful stay
We had an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly. It exceeded all my expectations and provided an unforgettable experience.

Superb hotel staff make this the perfect place to stay
Our recent visit to the Caribe did not disappoint From arrival to departure the staff were so friendly and professional The cleanliness of the hotel is exceptional from the pool toilets to public areas that are cleaning 24/7 Room was comfy and air con worked well Fridge re stocked often Restaurants - buffet and Asian we our favourite Disappointed in the steak house steak was cold and tough Never a problem getting sunbeds on beach or pool Drinks were good too we found the go rails better at the sports bar We would definitely return to this hotel We walked to Rui Cancun to use their pool for the day it took about 35 minutes We also enjoyed the Rui parties great fun, music wasn’t to our liking as it was very heavy and often dings we didn’t know but worth a visit

We came out here for the last two weeks in November, and it was our first visit to Mexico. The hotel and facilities are great, nice spacious rooms, fab bathroom and toiletries, and a stunning view. However, our room (939) had two small double beds in it which were smaller than the normal UK double (I’d say 4ft rather than 4ft 6) and so we ended up sleeping separately for the holiday as neither of us are twig-like. Of the special restaurants we only went to the Steakhouse (which was good) and the Asian restaurant (very good - we ate there twice). Breakfast in the buffet restaurant was excellent. Plenty of choice and very fresh. We only ate lunch once (salad). The evening choices were good but very samey. I can’t remember how many times we had meat, mashed potato and veggies. The knives in the buffet restaurant are quite blunt so cutting up meat wasn’t always easy. Both Aury and Israel were lovely, and kept us both topped up either wine, which was appreciated. The entertainment was severely lacking in my opinion. This is now a party hotel, aimed at a much younger clientele (we’re 57 and 67). They have foam and dj parties 4 times per week around the other side of the hotel, and on the nights when that’s going on, there is no other entertainment for any guests not attending, which is such a shame as we were left with just nothing to do. In the nights there was entertainment on that was good - just not enough of it. The beach here is lovely and we spent our second week there, away from the noisy pool areas. The staff are great, very friendly, and always hard at work. The whole place is spotless. So to sum up, if you’re young and ready to party you will love it here. But if you’re in an older age bracket, maybe look at another hotel with a bit more age-appropriate entertainment.

Absolutely worth it!
The hotel was superb. All was clean.the workers were very friendly and helpful,thanks for that.the seaview was amazing 🥰 food was good and animation too. Rooms are very clean and comfy.all our vacay was super in Riu Caribe,like in other Riu hotels in Cancun i have been before
