Spring Break Policies -
1. Student / Spring Breaker Groups (21 years of age or older) will be accepted ONLY at Riu Cancun & Riu Caribe
2. All Student / Spring Breaker Group reservations are strictly On Request and will be reviewed on a case by case basis by the corresponding Destination Sales Department. RIU Hotels & Resorts reserves the right of admission and may reject any request at its sole discretion.
3. If a Student / Spring Breaker Group is accepted:
a. The number of rooms will be deducted from the contracted allotments
b. Minimum Age requirement: 21 years of age or older.
c. The Hotel may request proof of age in the form of passport or official ID
d. Each room must submit a signed liability agreement upon check-in.
4. At all other RIU properties Student Groups / Spring Breakers (either groups or individuals, regardless of age) are not allowed at any time during the year.
5. Guests disturbing or generating complaints from other guests or hotel may be removed from the property, at their own expense.

6. Student / Spring Breaker Groups must comply with any protocols (hotel and government) in place at the time of stay at the hotel.

Stayed there for my big birthday. Room was lovely and spacious with great view. Check in was long but I put it down to the previous storm. Food was ok, something for everyone. Wish they had hash browns every day. Pacha club needs air con and a variety of music to cater for all guests

Brilliant holiday
We had to change hotels due to an issue in the first hotel booked, before we travelled. So glad we had the opportunity to change and selected Riu Cancun. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a suite with an amazing view from the 9th floor. Room maybe a little tired, however did not affect our stay. All staff from housekeeping, waiting, bar service all very friendly and helpful, couldn’t do enough for you. Always able to get a sun bed by the pool with no problems, our favourite pool was the main pool as that’s where rhe entertainment team worked from. Special mention has to go out to Benni from the entertainment team, really friendly, went out of his way to make sure we had a good holiday. Also Charlie and Rebecca from the entertainment team were fantastic. Due to the storms the beach had lots of seaweed, but I believe at other times of thr year the beach is beautiful. Would definitely recommend and will return.

Our honeymoon
Managed to celebrate our honeymoon during the two hurricanes. Literally one before arrived and one after we left but the weather was beautiful for us. Did a couple excursions and just enjoyed laying by the pool with good drinks. Highly recommend for couples. Not the best for kids tho

This will be my first and last exoerince with Cancun Riu and Sunwing. From my keys being changed 5 plus times then rooms with no ac is the worst. I traveled to a lot of different resorts and unfortunately this is the only resort i had a horrible experience with. I do not recommend this place. It not what it used to be.
