Hi came here I may and from start to finish i had an amazing time here from the food plenty to choice from to the views of the beach and hotel pools were amazing and the staff were so friendly went over and above to make your holiday special would definitely come back to this hotel hope to see yous again soon thanks

Cancun experience
The hotel was fantastic, the staff very welcoming and friendly. Rooms very clean. The food fantastic, mini bar in room fully stocked. Could do with a few more smoking areas. Entertainment was ok and the daytime team where always on the go. Will be back

Stay At Riu
This is my first time staying at this resort I had a great experience. My only issue was my key card kept stopping & I had to keep going downstairs.

Stayed here for 10 nights on our honeymoon which the hotel was aware of prior to us arriving. I was expecting a bit of effort _ decor wise or a little something in the room for this special ocassion but nothing. We were given a room on 13th floor, If you enjoy sitting out on balcony and admiring the view I would recommend you ask for a different floor. It's not a glass balcony as I was expecting its a big wall which is quite high, im 5'7 and needed to go on tip toes to see much. so when you sit down all you can see is wall. Seems to be only floor that has this design. The rooms are not to a standard of 5 star hotel. Very basic, noticeable wear and tear nothing that made us feel we came to a 5 star hotel. Though the rest of the building and location does make up for this. So if you are someone who likes nice decor and wants something more of a luxury feel, then look elsewhere. I was worried reading reviews about losing the sun at around 2 ..but unless you're at the quiet pool to the far side of the building through the indoor bar, then you get the sun all day long. Though the main area of the pool bar/ activity pool is still fine If you prefer to be more relaxed, the pool bar can get busy but was never a put off. This is more a party hotel, for us being on our honeymoon we were hoping for something just a bit more relaxed, though If we came with friends we would come back to this hotel. The staff and the service they deliver is great, each person has been extremely friendly. The buffet restaurant has been great and we've enjoyed eating her most nights. The steak restaurant was nice but found the starters to be very basic. A bland sald and mozerella sticks. This was dissapointing. The night we went to the Italian restaurant I ordered the linguine, I had noticed 4 people around me had ordered this but left full plates, I tried it and could see why. The seafood was dry and very overcooked and the pasta was very doughy. Overall , we did enjoy our stay but I don't believe this is a 5 star hotel and think there's several improvements/ upgrades needed.
