First time at a RIU property and I was pleasantly surprised! The grounds were absolutely beautiful. Rooms are very standard and nothing special at all but I enjoyed the ocean view. Food is what you would expect from RIU but you’re they’re for the party! Great time and great vibes. Will try another RIU property.

Apr 19, 2025The stay was good- Kind of Spring Breaky- at the swim up bar.
This is our second stay with RIU Cancun. we had a good time. Staff works hard to please. Good food and drinks. Drinks may be too strong at times. A la carte restaurants are very good and great service. RIU theme parties are a blast even if your 55+. Staff decorated our room for my wife's birthday. Transfers included with RIU Booking were a huge hassle - especially the return. Ended up taking uber. RIU staff blamed the contractor, but my reservation was with RIU. Hallways are very noisy all night with drunk people and doors are loud. I wish people at the swim up bar would get out of the pool for the bathroom. IT was impossible for staff to keep the pool clean and balanced. Some guests get far over-served. So many shots- I wasn't expecting spring break. Even though there were issues we had a good time. May choose a different resort next time.

We loved the property. The food was better than I expected. Pool was great. Location was wonderful. Staff was great. Wish there were a few more opportunities for poolside and beachside activities/ games/ competitions. But highly recommend and I will be back

Top Notch Entertainment Staff
Entertainment staff was awesome! Fun activities during the day and night. Restaurants were good and the buffet had a good variety of options. The steakhouse was amazing. The rooms could definitely use an upgrade, but are clean. If you have an adjoining room, you can hear everything from the room next door.

Great Stay at RIU Cancun
Great place to visit. Nice clean rooms and resort. Friendly staff and attentive to detail. Main bars and minibar in room are stocked with good beverages. I love the entertainment staff and its adults only.
