Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach
We really enjoyed our week at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort. The resort is large and sprawling and built on a cliff (stunning!), and there is a lot of walking involved either up hill or down hill. I loved all the walking while my husband chose to wait for the golf carts. I would not recommend this resort for anyone with mobility challenges. They have a nice, well-equipped gym and even offer fitness classes; I did not participate in any of the classes but did use the gym; I had hoped to use their indoor cycling bikes, but they are reserved for their classes only; I would have tried a class if the instructor had not mentioned they were 'Soul Cycle' style classes (ugh, not for me). I also took the opportunity one day to start at the beach, walk up to the sky pool and then onto the guard gate at the top of the hill; great walk and beautiful views all the way! When you first arrive, the time-share spiel begins; we were initially concerned as we were approached 6x in our first day, but their system seems to be that they hound you when you first arrive and then they leave you alone to enjoy your holiday. We were thankful for this as if we had to deal with that the whole time, our overall opinion would be very different. The food is plentiful, fresh, varied and delicious; if you can't find something to eat at this resort, nothing will please you. All restaurants were clean and service was excellent. The Market was a lunch favourite of ours due to the options available. They have many pools to choose from and they are all beautiful, clean, with lots of chairs. You cannot swim at the beach, but we knew this going in so had no concerns about that. It's not your typical all inclusive so you do have to give your room number and name and remember to wait for your bill and sign off on every purchase, even a bottle of water. It's not a big deal at all but just be prepared for that. We chose to rent a car so did not use the airport shuttle; we did shuttle to Rose one day but then could not return on the shuttle until much later than we hoped so had to cab it back (it books up very fast so availability is limited); the next time we went to Rose (we lunched at Cilantro --- delicious and fabulous location!!!), we just drove there and parked. We also drove to La Paz for the whale shark then sea lion snorkel; so worth it! Overall, it's a beautiful resort, spectacular views, well landscaped and maintained, lovely staff, great service and amazing food! I highly recommend the resort as long as you either enjoy walking or have patience to wait for the golf carts (you are on holidays, patience should be plentiful).

Home away from Home
This is my favorite vacation spot. Truly home away from home, I’ve been coming here for over 8 years now and every year is more fun. Driver Danny B was amazing and hilarious. Great guy! Thanks Pueblo Bonito Sunset!
