An amazing visit. Clean property, very well kept around the clock. Great staff! Rooms were very cozy and the cleaning staff did an excellent job every day. The food was stellar. We did not feel the need to leave the property to eat. Loved the Mediterranean food. Special thanks to the staff there for their service and kindness. Breakfast at the Mexican restaurant was great. Room service was the best ever. Snorkeling right off the beach/piers was perfect! The events counter by the front desk was really helpful in arranging activities; tour boats can pick you up right off of the hotel's dock. The gift shop was really nice to get reasonable souvenirs. Would prefer to see the billing in USD or preferred currency at checkout though.
This place is amazing! Beautiful grounds. Rooms big and nicely decorated. Lovely private beach. Great for snorkeling. Nice and quiet. Perfect for couples. Recommend purchasing the breakfast package. The poolside food was delicious. Enjoyed the pizza . The other restaurants were just ok. No nightlife or entertainment on grounds. Overall, had a great experience and would return!
This place is awesome! They have everything you could ever want. There is no reason to leave the resort because there is so much to do. If you want to feel like your on a vacation stay here. It maybe a little higher priced but it’s worth the money. I cannot even begin to explain everything. Stay here and you will soon know why.
The best in Cozumel
We have stayed at many hotels in Cozumel and this is the best one by far. Ocean view rooms were great and newly refurbished were quite nice. Breakfast was included and had a wide variety off food. We ate at all 4 restrarunts in the hotel and had great food!
Great service and diving!
My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights at a Reef Room. I dived with Scubadu (onsite) two days-- 3 or 4 dives were fantastic. We never left the grounds, as we found no need to do so. Pros: Excellent service, from front desk to the restaurants. Very clear room, beach, grounds, etc. We were particularly impressed with service at the seafood restaurant (Farro Blanco). The host, Israel, and waiter, Alberto, were great, as was the food (seafood risotto and sea bass were excellent). We also really appreciated Jonathan at the Mexican restaurant, as well as Carlos (several others weren't so great). All waiters at El Cap were excellent!! Nice beach, although small. The only beach where I found snorkeling to be worthwhile, including resorts in 5 other Carribean countries). Very impressed with dive shop, and especially Roberta as my private dive master. We was great!! We have stayed at multiple All Inclusive resorts in Cancun and Isla Meujures, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and BVIs, but found this hotel to be the best -- much quieter, with fewer young couples drinking to get drunk. This is NOT a place best for partying, which we appreciated (although I suspect this might not be the case during prime season). We're over 50, and found many others to be the same. Cons: The Reef rooms are great, EXCEPT there were 5 cruise ships docked about 1/2 mile away, which ruined the scenery (and caused much noise) At many times, there were a dozen boats 100 yards off the beach, waiting to pick up passengers to/from the cruse ships. Next time, we plan to book a room at the other end of the hotel (luxury beach front rooms, which do not view the cruise ships). Not to blame the hotel at all, but be careful with the taxis: we found that they doubled the price when we paid in U.S. dollars instead of pesos (found the same in one restaurant near the ferry docks. Unfortunately, the hotel charges 8% commission on cash transactions -- even though their ATM was out of service (all days we were there). Overall, we plan to return (with pesos, and not with a Reef Room). Again, the dive shop was a major plus!!! We will return!
