Los cabos Hotel Posada Real
One year ago me and my family visited Los cabos, and stayed in the hotel Posada Real a five star hotel, when we arrived my room was a disorder, trash in the floor, unattended bed, and dirty bathroom, we ask for a change of room but at moment all other rooms were occupied so we had to wait half an hour for our rooms to be ready, when we got back to the we realized the bathroom door was broken, which was a big problem when we took a bathroom because al the water would get out.
Best deal, amazing staff
Me and three other friends stayed three nights here and especially with the price, we are beyond pleased. my absolute favorite part is the staff. every single one of the staff members were friendly and always made sure that we were satisfied all while having a drink in our hands. i am always wary about my safety, but it’s nice knowing there is someone blocking off the entrance of the hotel 24/7. the view is beautiful and although it is 30 minutes away from san lucas where all the party is- uber’s are cheap and there are activity people walking around. my friends and i did the ATV ride through the hotel and it was an experience like no other! i will admit- the rooms are outdated, walls aren’t the best, and some of the things such as desk lamps and mini fridge didn’t work but i do not at all regret staying here!
Layed Back, Relaxing, and Fun!
Travel Dates: June 2 – June 8, 2019 San Jose Del Cabo Airport to Resort is approx. 30 minutes RECEPTION: Check In is 3:00 p.m.: We arrived shortly before 3:00 and started the check in process. Check in was a fairly quick process. They were very detailed about going over everything. How to get to your room, the hours of the pool, etc. and also give you an envelope with this information as well. We were in our room within 20 minutes of arrival. Check Out is at 12:00 noon. If you have a late flight and they have room available, you can make arrangements for a for a late check out for a slight fee, otherwise they will hold your luggage while you continue using the grounds. TIP: If you will be using the safe, ask for the safe key at the time of check-in. It will save you a trip back to the front desk. GROUNDS: Well kept, clean and manicured. Pathways are well lit as well as the rest of the grounds. The cactus have lights on them and lightens up the resort very charmingly. ROOMS: We had an ocean front room so the patio faced the ocean, pool and bar area. You could hear the waves crashing into the beach and at night it sounded like thunder. It was very relaxing. Bathroom a little on the smaller side but totally acceptable with adequate area for toiletries. Full bathtub and shower and always had hot water. Lots of space to hang clothes and tons of drawer space throughout the room. Flat screen TV with multi-language channels. Safe is a key and we had no problems with it or with theft. You must get the safe key from the front desk. Rooms are cleaned daily and if we hung the “please make up room” sign, they were right there to clean it. The maid was wonderful, very friendly and efficient. Coffee Pot and Refrigerator were in our room (although I don’t think every room has a refrigerator) and they gave us 2 bottles of water every day. They did ask that you refill the bottles at the water coolers at any of the entrances. This is in an effort to reduce plastic waste and I thought it was a great idea. Bedding and towels can be opted to clean daily or every three days. Key is a key card and you will need one to put in your room for the electric to work. Seeing as it is an odd size key, I don’t think any other card will work to put in the electric key pad. FOOD: This place only has two dining options. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at the main dining room and lunch is also served at the pool area. Since this is a smaller resort you will not find tons and tons of options to choose from but the food is good. I found the food at the pool to be on the hotter side (temperature hot, not spicy hot). Sometimes the food in the main buffet seemed cold, but always flavorful. Lunch at the pool is ordered off a wide variety menu and brought to you by the waiters. Fish Tacos were the best. The waiters in the restaurant are very attentive, friendly and love to chat and joke with you. They remember you and know exactly what you drink. Alex is awesome. Breakfast started at 7:00 a.m. and dinner served through 10:30 p.m. POOL: There is one pool and it is a nice size pool. Never seemed overly crowded. Pool bar has plenty of space and if you get Valentine as your bartender you will be treated with great service. This is one of the few resorts that I found the pool to stay open as late as it did. There is also a hot tub close to the pool and the water is actually hot. Food at Pool closed at 5:00, bar closed at 7:00 and pool closed at 9:00 p.m. BEACH: The beach is white sand but very course. Once you get closer to the water the sand tends to be softer. Due to the nature of the waves and undertow, this beach has a black flag every day and is unsafe for swimming. Watching the waves is mesmerizing. ACTIVITIES: During the day, they had dart tournaments, tequila tasting, volleyball and a putting green. ENTERTAINMENT: No big production shows, but they did have nightly entertainment in the main lobby every night. Mariachi Band, Karaoke, DJ dancing, Marimba Players. I loved that the resort pulled everyone into the main lobby at night. It was very intimate and you got to know other guests this way. By the end of the week, we knew so many people from so many different places. NIGHT LIFE and BARS: After the nightly entertainment, everything closes down including the bar. Everything during the week is closed by 10:30/11:00 and midnight on the weekends. They do not open up again until 11:00 a.m. SHOPPING: They had vendors on the beach selling hats, cover-ups, key chains, etc… and they also had a little shop inside the resort. The prices were reasonable. WILDLIFE: Except for the birds, a couple of crabs on the beach, and some stingray in the water, we really didn’t see anything. Even the mosquitoes were not too bad. Sometimes at dinner the flies were out, but we also sit outside so it’s not the fault of the restaurant. All in all they were not too bad. Comments: This is an older hotel. If you are looking for upscale, modern or the party atmosphere, this is not your place. If you are looking for reasonable price, relaxing and refreshing get-a-way, do not hesitate to go to this resort. It’s great. If this review left any unanswered questions, please e-mail me.
We’ll be back!!
This was my first time in Mexico since being a minor and my boyfriends basically 100th time. Neither one of us had been to Cabo and we absolutely loved it. This resort isn’t like regular 5 star hotels but in my opinion it’s a quaint small 5 star resort you never want to leave. We absolutely fell in love with the staff here, from the minute we walked in to when we left we felt like family. Every staff member greeted you with a smile every time you saw them, they remembered our names and always engaged in conversations. Benito, Bernardo, Valentin, Enan, and Ishmael were the main guys who worked out by the pool and they were absolutely amazing. Never had to worry about an empty drink as they always had one coming as you were finishing the one you had. Jose, Victor, Orleans, Jeremiah were the usual guys in the lobby bar and buffet and they amazed us as well always had us laughing. Luis was the first employee we met and he was amazing wouldn’t let me touch my bags until he had dropped them off at the room and always greeted you in the morning. They even surprised me with cake and sang me happy birthday on my birthday. The food was fantastic we never had any issues with it. They only have the buffet but change the themes every night and you never tire of the food. The omelettes in the morning are a must have and worth the line. There was never a problem getting a day buzz on as they pour very generously, so if you don’t like strong drinks ask for a single. If you have any issues deciding on what to drink ask Valentin or Jose to make you a special drink and they won’t disappoint! There was entertainment every night in the lobby karaoke, mariachi, live music, marimbe. The gentleman that ran the karaoke and dj’d was fantastic and so funny. He would do anything to try and get you up to sing. The mariachi band even serenaded us. The rooms were clean and the AC worked very well even too well sometimes as we woke up shivering in the night. I recommend you request a partial ocean view or full ocean view as it’s quieter and has such a nice view. I could go on about what we loved about this resort forever, I have no complaints! Thank you Posada for making us feel like family, we will be back!!!
This is a lovely hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Good food, and a beautiful beach. I definitely plan t
My room was very comfortable with a lovely balcony overlooking the ocean. I wich the Jacuzzi could have been working, but that was a minor inconvenience. I enjoyed most of the music at night. It was nice that there were a lot of families, but the children weren't a problem. my room was very quiet and peaceful.
