Great stay, great people
We stayed here for a week in November. The resort was suprisingly not busy which leant itself to a lot of personal attention from the staff. The resort is on the older side but most things were well kept and clean. The exception was our bathroom which looked old and didn’t have a bathroom fan which is unfathomable given this high humidity country. The food was good but really the Mexican equivalent of western food. It was good though. There was a specialty item each night but the line for that was always a bit longer. The pool was a bit small but good enough. Overall, good value for money and I would stay again.
We've stayed here twice now. The first time, they didn't do an all inclusive package and it was really inexpensive. Now they do an all inclusive package it is still no too prices. The location is to die for. Right on the beach of the Sea of Cortez. Depending on the time of year,if you're lucky you can sea Orcas just offshore. It's a long way away (either via LA or Dallas ) but we will definitely return.
Sharing A " Real" Secret
Well I have been to this resort on and off for about 10 years. I just keep coming back and only to Posada Real. Simply answer, "I'm treated like family". Urbano the manager has been a great friend and has always treated me very well. The staff are so wonderful and always cater to anyone. The rooms are fine and I always upgrade to ocean front before arrival, just contact them and they will look after you, tip Room 250 is great. It's a real close knit resort where everyone knows everyone by a name and not a number. Benito and Ismael at the pool bar will certainly make sure your fed from the fish and hamburger stand by the pool and oh yah , well watered as well. In the afternoons Rosio and Jerry have games to play for all ages depending on the crowd, you can win prizes too, trips to Cabo, masseuge etc., lots of fun. I fish a lot when I am in Cabo and I bring the catch back to Posada where I invite a lot of people to join me for supper, English or Latin all is welcome here. The CAPTAIN takes my order and presents a very especial meal, everyone enjoys. This trip they cooked a whole shark I caught and everyone could get some at the buffet. The buffet for supper has different menus and themes every night as well, from international to Chinese. The breakfast is always a pleasure too. If your looking for a quiet, friendly, spacious, family oriented resort then put Posada Real on your go to list. You wont be disappointed. See you soon.
This resort treats you like family!!
My husband, our 4 kids and myself just checked out yesterday after 8 days and we wish we could have stayed longer. This was our 2nd time staying at Posada, my husband and I were just there in April for a week and fell in the love with the resort and staff. Everything from staff, to the food, to the comfy beds, were amazing. We loved the breakfast options, especially the omelet bar! We ate lunch at the beach everyday because the food was so delicious and a great selection to choose from. Dinners are themed; prime rib night, pasta bar etc. so we ate at the resort most nights as well, but took the kids into San Jose Del Cabo to have them try some of our favorite spots there too. During the day we stayed entertained with Jerry and Rocio's activities; darts, pool volleyball and foosball tournaments, great fun and a way to make new friends. * Although it says gratuities are included in your room rates, all of the staff go above and beyond, far deserving of additional tips. We even tipped the behind the scene staff like the beach bar cooks, they earned it for sure. This trip I brought handmade earrings for our cleaning staff to add to their tips and baseball hats for our beach staff. They are family now. Yesterday on departure day, they proved this.......we stayed and played til 4, tipped our last pesos and headed to the lobby with overflowing luggage and 6 hot bodies. I went to the ATM to pull cash for the taxi to the airport but all banks and ATMS in the whole region were out, network failure. I panicked. Our flight for Seattle was leaving at 7p, we tried to hide our emotions and fear of what now, we had no way to pay for a taxi with banks and ATMS down. Before you knew it, our family at Posada had 2 personal vehicles, with 2 employees out front ready to load our bags and bodies in their cars, beach and dining staff were gathering personal pesos for gas for our drivers. They did this out of the kindness of their hearts, they by no means had to. They are family. We were very humbled and I quietly cried all the way to the airport. We will never stay anywhere else in the Cabo area, we have found home, family and friends there. We will be back in December with my parents! Much love and gratitude to all the staff/family at Posada Real! We love you all, thank you again!! See you soon!!
When we arrived my wife said "I feel like we are home"
posada Real is a small resort and that is what I prefer, being handicapped (using a walker) We were put on the second floor that is the same floor as Buffet, Lobby and lobby bar. It only took minutes to check in at noon but had to wait until 3 for our room to be ready so we put on our suits and went to the pool and had a great lunch at the Taco bar (Wahoo cook Adrianna)and we had all our lunches there because they were hot and delicious. The staff went above and beyond for service. Starting at the lobby by Meghan and Sarah, to the waiters Victor , Jeremiah, Simon, Benito, Jose, and Salvidor to name a few to the omlet cook, who had my name, Martin. My wife went on the deluxe Los Cabos city tour with Grayline and Luis was a terrific guide the food at the buffet was very good but as most buffets not very hot but you could get whatever the grill was serving hot and the tacos were always hot. The room was clean and everything worked so we were very happy, even the sliding glass door worked perfectly. The temperature was 30-31 each day and made the sand very hot and I smiled at the people trying to walk in bare feet that ended in a run. The vendor's were there each day but were not allowed past the rope and they were friendly and not aggressive. We had partial ocean view 220 and the view was beautiful of the beach , pool, cactus garden and resort. We are already talking about going back next july, we were so pleased with everything. Remember the resort is a 3 star but I would rate it 4 because the hot tub was actually hot and the staff were all so friendly and nice.
