Was a nice trip!
The resort is beautiful, the service was fantastic, the food was delicious, and our room was really nice. The pools were a lot of fun during the day. The main pool has a lot of entertainment throughout the day. There was not a lot of night life at the resort but we were exhausted by the time we were done with dinner so we were not interested in doing anything after We ate anyway. We enjoyed our trip and I would ignore the bad reviews and go. This place is hard to beat for the price for sure.

good but wont return
i have been to Mexico about 10 times. Mostly Playa del Carmen and Cancun, but also Puerta Vallarta and Mexico City. So I know having working A/C is possible. The good-- this place is clean, the amenities are nice the staff is wonderful. Even the food in the theme restaurants is better than most, they even have a revolving sushi bar. BUT I WILL NEVER COME BACK OR RECCOMEND TO A FRIEND WHY? THE POOR A/C The a/c is set at 22 C degrees. That is like 72 degrees F. After complaining, they said they can send someone to lower it. They showed up within an hour and lowered it to 18! However, the overall room temp only went down to 21.5 degrees I don't know about most people, but spending every single night of one's vacation waking up in sweaty sheets is not my idea of luxury or fun. and for that i would not recommend people coming here ( oh and it is not just me, this was a conversation held by a lot of people by the pool )

Beautiful Resort
We enjoyed 10 days in a swim out suite in Building 1 which is away from the main pool. If you want quiet this is the building to be in. We have stayed at many resorts with swim outs, and this is one of the best. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the housekeepers were prompt every day and super friendly. We went to the a la carte restaurants in the Platinum side and Grand Riviera (family side) and they are all decent, didn't go back to our room hungry. Buffet was good for breakfast (ask for Bryan's section for breakfast/lunch) however, the choices for lunch & dinner were not very good. The food at the beach grill for lunch was amazing and server Miguel Altamirano and chef Rodolfo should be credited for exceptional service. Service from the resort staff was awesome, Israel at the front service always greets everyone by name and with a smile and is always willing to assist if necessary. It was a pleasure seeing Israel when we walked by daily on our way to breakfast or lunch. Catalina who served our swim out pool for drinks was amazing. Be aware of the Codi's (Mexican raccoon) they are everywhere. Don't really bother you but will open your patio doors if not locked.

On a scale of 1-10... a solid 7
Girls Trip 2025 - this resort was well maintained, lovely grounds, clean and easy enough to navigate. Swim up rooms are the best part! The service was wonderful at all levels, Restaurants were lovely and the activities abundant! I have no complaints about the overall experience. Room for improvement (in my opinion). While the buffet was abundant, the flavor quite bland... BUT there are so many options that you can always find something more than fulfilling. The pool temp outside the swim-up rooms was way too warm - I can't imagine how hot it gets in real summer months. The beach would have been a great alternative, but honestly you can't really get in or out of the water easily. It's SO ROCKY and if you don't have swim shoes your not going in. And even with the swim socks, it's so hard to walk into and out of the water. And again, out of anyone's control but the seaweed was intense. And in the morning and early afternooon hours they are working to clean it up with loud tractors. It's a small beach area so it's just not a relaxing environment. A major disappointment if you are a beach person. Not to mention the constant sales pitch (although they were all very receptive to the "no thank you" and didn't persist). Overall, this was a fun trip and on a scale of 1-10 I give it a solid 7. I've been to other resorts and for the money, I have to say this was just shy of the level I expected. And I promise, I'm no Diva and I am almost too forgiving so this is just one person's honest feedback.
