Exquisite massage experience
My mom and I had side by side massages at the spa. They were both incredible. Really relaxing but also hard enough to work of some of the kinds from the hard bed. Gracias Mari and Diana ❤️🫶 The rest of the hotel is great! The buffet food is awesome and has something for everyone. The desserts were incredible. There are pool/beach side snack bars through the day for like fries, hot dogs, guac and chips. The campus is so huge that you never have to worry about finding a deck chair, they have plenty. There is a lot of of loud music coming from the pool for most of the day - but this usually stops as soon as the sun goes down. Overall, very good hotel. Would stay again 10/10. The wildlife were a plus in my books : coatis, cats, iguana, deer and I think I saw an actual raccoon…not just a coati. Either way, I enjoyed trying to be friends with them!

Great resort with great value
This was a great resort for the value! Our room was clean and comfortable and was well attended throughout our stay. Our only (minor) complaint about the room was that there were not pool/beach towels in the room and getting some from either the front desk or housekeeping proved a challenge at times. The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed all the wildlife wandering around. Towards the end of our stay, the resort got much busier and the pools got a little too crowded for our taste, but that is not really the fault of the resort. We ate in almost every restaurant that was included (we did not try Skylights since it was extra) and experienced good service and good food each time. Particular shout out to Bryan on the breakfast shift in the Yucatan Buffet!! His special effects while attending our table had us laughing and were always a fun way to kick off the day. Service at the pool bars was inconsistent throughout the week (very dependent on who was working) but overall was adequate. We enjoyed the nightly entertainment in the Plaza Bar, took in a show at the theater, and did karaoke one night at the Salsa Bar. Our group did a professional photo session with Rudolfo and he did FANTASTIC! He was funny, kept us engaged the whole time, and took some gorgeous photos. Princess Resorts are quickly becoming a favorite of our little band of travelers and Platinum Yucatan definitely helped this opinion!

Not an adults only fan..?
After an amazing visit to the Riviera Princess in 2021 (very quiet), we thought we would try out “Platinum” adults only. Not our jam so much. The biggest redeeming factors were a super quiet room above the spa and the fact that we had access to the entire Riviera side. We were over there for buffet, dining, yoga on the beach and pool time every day. Unfortunately, our service at Yucatan was not what we expected. 3 days without room service, even after requesting it each day. No compensation made for that except access to the spa for 1 visit (we had already paid premium for massages, facials and spa access….). Our hot tub room was great, except for the HOT TUB, which was broken and in poor condition. The shower in this room was exceptional and huge! The room was very quiet, our favorite aspect! Your main benefit for Platinum adult is that you can access their 4 restaurants in the evening without reservations.. if you love that, it will be a benefit. We had no problem getting reservations each night for the Riviera restaurants, especially love La Fondue and La Fleur. Don’t feed the coatis, please. But lots of fun wildlife to see up close. The beach in front of Yucatan is rocky—bring shoes. Riviera beach is sandy! Do make yourself an affoggato at Rodeo Grill mid day with their ice cream and really good espresso…DIY. Do enjoy the flaming coffee show. And hang in there, the signs for any of the food locales at Yucatan are almost non-existent, but they are open. We did enjoy being back here after 3 years. Hop on the cart and go enjoy all of the Riviera entertainment and their restaurants!

Had a couples Yucatan massage from Virginia and Adelaida it was absolutely amazing both my partner and I Have never had a better relaxing massage! The experience was so relaxing and enjoyable and a must do when visiting this resort. We also got to experience the hydro circuit to further the relaxation.

Wouldn't go back - not good value for money.
Our experience at the Platinum Yucatan really missed the mark in a number of key areas, Following is a summary of the concerns: Customer Service Issues: The interaction with Jorge at the front desk was a big part of our negative experience. It’s disappointing when staff are dismissive or unhelpful, especially when we were simply asking for something as reasonable as a king-size bed. The fact that he got defensive and was speaking poorly of us in another language only made things worse. Great service should make guests feel heard and valued, not like they’re inconveniencing anyone. Dining and Special Dinner Experience: The food was repetitive and lacked variety, which can definitely get monotonous after a few days. The situation with the seafood dinner booking was also a major negative experience—miscommunication and confusion like that can make an already expensive dining experience frustrating. And the attempt to upcharge us for lobster definitely felt misleading. Staff are fluent in English when they’re selling you an upgrade or special, but suddenly have trouble when questions arise. Spa Experience: In a resort of this so-called calibre, we expected a relaxing and professional massage, but instead were left with a very poor and uncomfortable experience. Spending $100 on a massage and receiving something less than therapeutic is definitely disappointing. A resort should offer a quality spa experience to match the price and expectations. Room Condition: The room maintenance issues are a shame, especially for a resort at this level. Cracks, gaps, and dirty grout aren't what you'd expect from a high-end property. Cleanliness and upkeep should be top priorities in all areas of the hotel, including rooms and common areas. On the bright side, we experienced great weather and well-maintained grounds, which at least made the best of a challenging stay.
