Beautiful resort in unspoilt Tangolunda Bay, Huatulco
Second trip here this year and we'll be back again for sure. Excellent shuttle service to/from the beach club all day and usually no more than a 5 minute wait.for 1 of 4 vehicles. Hotel is all-inclusive and 400 yards behind the beach and sits imposingly into a hillside. If you have problems walking up and down slopes you will need the shuttles. Very clean and well maintained resort with good sized suites and huge balconies. Only 20 mins. from the airport and taxi costs 450 pesos, but only 250 pesos on the way back. Best beach club in Huatulco with the pool, bar, snacks, and beach all beside each other. You can watch a show every night right from your dining table and the shows are very good. The sunrises are very nice and the beach is clean but steep and yes there is an undertow at times. You can rent Hobie cat sailboats for 600 pesos in front of the Barcelo resort from Sam, and the bay is protected on all sides.
This place is the best value for your buck in Huatulco. All inclusive food 7 am to 1 am including free alcohol of all types. We had the best view from large balcony rooms 1041 and 1042. Very quiet and private. Soft king size bed, huge shower. Two pools and two restaurants. One restaurant is buffet with lots of options. The other is a little dressier full breakfast table service and Italian dinner. The staff is really nice, particularly Armando at front desk and concierge Blanca. Aqua aerobics at noon daily. Lovely beach, turquoise water.
Best employees of a fabulous vacation we enjoyed together
Fidencio santos parada, cesar julio carmona vargas, German ruiz ruiz, armando el capitan were like family to us. alma rosa, alma gabrielle, yuridia garcia, euniice garcia vargas, victor pelcastare, maria de snacks Robertot tot, willberth. A memorable time with all of them.
Good service, good location, not well suited for handicap needs
We spent a week in the hotel. Because we had a wheelchair, moving around the hotel was quite difficult, especially when we were going back to our room and had to climb steps because there were no ramps for handicap access. One elevator-like called "funicular" was out-of-service. It could have been a better stay if this elevator-like would have been working properly. Cleanest is one of the best marks of this hotel. All employees of this hotel were always willing to help us and always with a smile. Hotel has only two places to eat. Food was ok, but for the price we paid, we expected more. Great views from the pool to the beach. Transportation is comfortable when moving from lobby to restaurant to lobby to room.
All inclusive Huatulco 2019
Good animation, cleanliness, ok food, beautiful ocean view from the beach. Not so good: The beach itself was rather unpracticeable (20 feet flat and then almost diving in the sea (no room for beach volleyball for sure) and the waves were too strong to swim. We've borrowed some tennis racquets that were in very bad shape and the balls were even worse. The gym was rather there just to mention there was a gym offered. Equipment was aged, no air conditioning… One restaurant "a la carte" no air conditioning with well-presented food, but nothing very tasteful, timed when we have to miss the entertainment show.. Not well organized.. We registered for one special activity outside the facilities that was called "The cascades"... We left the hotel at 9:00 and came back at 07:30. We swam and visited the cascades for a maximum of 2 hours. We've been given sales pitches on mesquale, coffee, chocolate, we were also asked a voluntary contribution ($) for our security (???)… And instead of an hour drive to get there, it took almost two hours.. Please set the record straight guys… The driver got irritated at the end when I didn't give him a tip($).. I mean come on! When on vacation, we tend to forget about the bad things, happily, but I will not recommend this place for sure. Even though Romeo at the restaurant, Miguel and Carla at animation, Juan at the towels were a-class hosts!
