DO NOT GO TO OCEAN BLUE AND SANDS
Our last trip was to ocean blue and sands. It was the worse!! Food not great and service very poor. You will be assigned a concierge who will drop you like a hot potato if you’re not interested in purchasing a timeshare or once you schedule your meeting. It was so disappointing after visiting princess, Bahia principe, hard rock and others. We loved this place. Very relaxing, food and service was superb. Tip the house keeper at beginning of trip and they will help in any way they can. Fun fun activities and be ready to party
Nine year’s since our last visit here. Brought our kids (18 and 20) and parents. Upgrade to Reserve was nice. Server (Julio Aponte), bartenders (Jesus and Willy Pena), activities (Cappuccino) all made it extra special and fun. Only downside was rain first couple of evenings and third floor leak/wet floors to navigate to get to our room. Easy walk or tram ride to the beach from Reserve. Great service in the reserve beach area too. Enjoyed Fuego, Bana, Vento, Mole, the Grill. Foam party was a blast. Will hopefully not wait nine years to come again.
Paradise Punta Cana.... The best bartender with good cocktails
Willy Pena and Jesus Avelino and Juan Diego.. are both wonderful bartenders and make you feel like part of the family. They are always fun and friendly.Melia should be proud to have such attentive and loyal members of their team. They made praise even better.
Great staff at the Reserve Paradisus Punta Cana
This is our second trip to the Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana. The entire staff was always friendly and helpful. One of the waiters, Julio Aponte always made our dining experiences great with his exceptional service and great personality. He definitely earns his nickname "I love you Julio"
Don't Do It!
We booked this resort after having stayed here in 2013. I was shocked, appalled and extremely disappointed with the decline in property condition. We have stayed at several Melia properties and try to stay loyal to the brand because we've always had great experiences....until now! The room had multiple issues, a list of 10 to be exact that we shared with our Royal Service consierge only to be called liars. The beautiful beach Bali beds we enjoyed in years past were torn with foam exposed and the lounge chairs broken. The buildings all has peeling paint and looked dirty. The place was desolate - no one around and it's no surprise given the experience we had. After one night we left and stayed the rest of the week at Grand Reserve at Palma Real. This property was brand new and beautiful. Even though these are both Melia properties, they still made me pay for a full stay both properties. It was so bad at Paradisus that I agreed just to get out of there. We will never go back to Paradisus. Rude staff who took advantage and didn't listen (let alone apologize) for any of our dissatisfaction. We wrote the GM of the property as well to share in hopes of improvement for future travelers. The response was nothing less than defensive. I approached them very respectfully and not blowing my top to discuss our issues however ....that wasn't the way I left after such terrible service.
