    My experience with Paradisus Cancun

    The only"issue" I would say was that we came while a lot of renovations were being conducted, but nevertheless it was still a memorable experience! Very welcoming and friendly staff. Definitely returning in the near future!

    Great experience... Definately coming back.

    We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and overall had a great experience. The staff was great and very attentive and friendly. The Tempo restaurant was amazing (not included in the all-inclusive, but definitely worth the experience), and the Coco Beach Cabanas was the best part of the experience. I really think they "under-sold" the Cabanas. Wow, the lunches provided were a seafood lover's dream; Crab, Lobster, Shrimp, Calamari, etc... The only drawback (minor), was the room had an elevated floor in the bathroom. My wife wore sandals and the room was dark when we walked in and stubbed her toes when she walked in the bathroom. A few drinks at Coco Bar fixed that issue...

    Great experience with a Melia resort

    Everything was fantastic. The place, although a little bit dated, has such a hospitable staff. That's what you'd expect when you're in an all inclusive resort and they delivered. Every staff introduced to me remembered my name and they'd greet me with such warm smiles whenever they see me. Outside you'll see the exterior of the hotel modeled to look like Chichen Itza, the calendar/temple of the Mayans. As you enter you'll see vines hanging from each balcony surrounding the pyramid-like interior. It is as if you have entered the heart of the jungle. With the comforts of modern technology, shops and restaurants. Exit through the back and you'll be greeted with an amazing view of the blue waters from the Caribbean. Blue Agave, the restaurant visited for lunch had good Mexican food. They're menu only consists of three items: 2 types of soup, tacos and quesadillas. I went for lunch and they only served the tacos. Enso, the restaurant I tried for dinner had a buffet and a la Carte menu. Enso is an asian buffet restaurant while the a la carte came from the Market Grill menu(it is closed at night due to renovations,2019) a brazilian fusion restaurant. The buffet at night changes nightly. The a la carte was awesome. My friends were obsessed with the octopus. I was liking the steak cooked to my preference. You can order from the a la carte menu as much as your heart's desire. We went back to Enso both for breakfast and lunch at different days and I can say it was not bad. We also went to the Market grill during lunch time and they offered some good selection of pork, beef, poultry and fish. I'm a meat lover not so much a vegetable eater so I cannot say much about they're vegetable selections. The fish and chicken I like, the beef a little tough and the pork a bit bland for my taste. Mole, a traditional mexican restaurant that offers dinner had awesome plating for a casual dining. They got the concept right. They served food like it was a tasting menu. Appetizers, soups and salads performed well but the mains not so much. We ordered octopus, duck and a meat platter but only the duck had some promise. The octupus was better at Enso. This comes from a person who did not appreciate the strong gamey flavor that was the lamb from the meat platter. Bana, a japanese restaurant that can be missed. If you think this place is good, you've never been to Japan or tasted authentic japanese cuisine. I thought it was edible at the least, my friends did not like the strong fishy flavor and smell that came from their sushi. In other words, the fish wasn't fresh. This is the biggest reason why my rating isn't perfect. We weren't able to try the other restaurants they offered due to time constraints but I wish we did. Tempo is their fine dining experience we missed, and las palapas was another one, overlooking the ocean, was missed because we didnt make the reservation. The drinks at any of the places that offered it was ok though not consistent. Sometimes you'll get the right amount of alcohol sometimes too little, sometimes too strong. I guess being in an all inclusive resort means the bartenders don't need to measure. Finally, the spa. Disclaimer, I didn't expect much about the spa because I've been to other spa and they were awesome at a fraction of a price. Also, I went there just after a water activity which was nauseating. With that said, Yhi spa is spectacular. They have a huge jacuzzi, rainfall shower rooms, sauna and steam room, a spacious lounge with a small snack bar by the jacuzzi, towels and slippers for your comfort, nicely dimmed waiting room while waiting for your massage room to be ready and the massage room itself that has it's own tub and shower room. I haven't even started the massage but I already felt pampered. Then I get to the massage. My masseuse did something and I can't remember anything but me snoring. Kidding. I fell asleep for sure but before I fell asleep from the most relaxing massage. Overall the service from yhi spa is superb if you can afford it. It will knock you back by 85-145usd without the tax. Overall, paradisus cancun is only one of the many hotel resorts offered by Melia but one that should be visited nonetheless for an experience that should be remembered for a long time.

    Blue agave satff are amazing !!!

    We stay first week of November,was wonderful !!!We love so much restaurant Blueagave,the hostess Fernanda and waitress Dania Toscano Gaudencio,Pablo,Vincente were amazing,they know what they doing !!! But they took there time while checking us in the hotel. They had a very nice greeting when we first got there !! Hostess Yvonne at Iban restaurant was very rude and mean !!!

    A Wonderful Vacation at Paradisus Cancun

    My wife & I just returned from this stunning resort. We are Vacation Club Members and have been to many resorts in the past but this has the beauty, service, hospitality, beach, pools, staff, food & restaurants that can't be beat. Our beautiful room faced a winding pool & sea with spectacular sunrises. The center lobby is breathtaking with vines cascading down from the perimeter of the 8 floors. The ground level of the lobby has an outstanding Asian restaurant with multiple levels of tables surrounded by foliage. I would like to mention some staff members that I came in contact with that make this resort so special: Luz Elena Quiroz - a Manager who is always available to meet with anyone that has an issue or concern. She immediately makes you feel like you are a family member & always provides a satisfactory solution. Jose - a Vacation Club Butler that goes above and beyond any expectation you may have. He will coordinate any special occasion to perfection or surprise you by delivering a bottle of your favorite wine to your room. Flor - a Vacation Concierge will coordinate restaurant reservations, transportation transfers or assist with any special requests or celebrations you may want to have while at the resort. Atilano - a Buffet Waiter will always greet you with a smile at breakfast or lunch and will provide service that is beyond your expectation. Elliot - a Pool Area Associate provides towels, bali beds or lounges and any other request you may have at pool side. His smile and humor are infectious. Yerry - another Pool Area Associate, Elliot's partner, also provides towels, prepares bali beds or lounges. He is extremely creative in preparing a swan or heart design with towels on the bali bed each day. I must also complement every server of all restaurants, they were all exceptional and the food was also prepared to perfection with special sauces where appropriate. Our favorite restaurant was Mole, a Mexican restaurant with an extensive menu to suite any palate. The ambiance was also amazing. The cleaning staff kept our room immaculate and fully stocked with all of our needs. The resort is centrally located to all attractions with bus or taxi service right out front of the hotel. These are some of the reasons why we love this fabulous resort. We are looking forward to returning for 2 weeks in 3 months.
