GREAT LOCATION AND VALUE
Outrigger Ka'anapli has a great location, a beautiful beach and thus a great value. I'd give 4.5 stars, but they don't have that option and 4 is too little so 5 it is. The grounds, while simple, had beautiful flowers and shrubs and were immaculately kept. The pool while small, was clean and usually able to handle all the patrons (including a couple screaming kids). We wish they had the music from the restaurant piped in. Would have been a bit livelier. Our Oceanfront room was awesome, the view from our balcony was spectacular. We did pay the highest price, so we expected that. Our room wasn't big but had a KIng bed and small table and chairs, so it was sufficient for us 2. Ther mattress was super comfortable. The walk-in shower was great. Excellent water pressure and non-skid floor (a grab bar would be a smart addition). One detractor is the lack of dining facilities. Hele On, a breakfast place with a nice buffet $30pp had a nice selection and wonderful ripe fruit. Great service. But they only open until Noon. Deli corner has snacks but is limited. But does have some toiletries, medicines and liquor. They have a carryout window by the pool, but it offers the same menu as the main restaurant, Maui Brewing Co., a bar with food. It's decent but overpriced and food generally not served hot. It has a great beachfront setting and scenic sunset views. Staff is pleasant in every aspect with "Aloha's" and smiles all day. When we arrived our room was ground floor even though we'd been assured iof an upper level to celebrate our 40th anniversary. With just a mention of their "promise" management stepped in and got us to the 3rd floor. No animosity, just business, So, we were pleased with that response from the start. We were told about some kind of "fairwell" thing they do with leis, but it never happened for us?

Perfect Location, Great Service, Great Room
Great stay all-around! Fabulous location - Whalers and all kinds of restaurants are a very short walk away. The on-site brewery is fantastic. Any questions or requests we had were answered immediately. Our room was beautifully updated and clean. The grounds and facilities are also kept very clean. We skipped the breakfast as $30 for a standard continental breakfast was a little hard to stomach, but there is a cute cafe in Whalers and several great options in town. We just went to the grocery store for yogurt and fruit to have for a few days. Would definitely recommend renting a car to get into town and around the island!

Amazing staff
The staff made our 25th Anniversary trip extra special, they decorated our room left us champagne and a beautiful card. The room was always clean and every staff member we interacted with was helpful and kind. We will be back!! Beautiful beaches and amazing area!

Outrigger vacation
Fabulous location on the beach walk close to everything. Super authentic Hawaiian atmosphere! Rooms and grounds are very nice. Staff is exceptional! All so friendly and welcoming. Always a good morning and aloha when we walked past, especially MJ Ugale. Wish the music played later at Maui Brewing , the food and drinks were great.

Peaceful and Relaxing Stay
We stayed 12 nights at the Outrigger Kaanapali Beach Resort to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The setting was perfect for us. We rented an ocean front room where we could enjoy the sounds and view of the ocean by day and watch the beautiful sunset every evening. The staff at the hotel are very warm and welcoming. They offered several free workshops on a variety of activities to familiarize guests with the Hawaiian culture. The pool was relaxing with a perfect water temperature. The grounds are beautiful with plenty of lounger chairs spread around to provide shade and privacy for guests. There are convenient onsite options for eating breakfast and poolside snacks. We enjoyed dining at the Maui Brewing Company where there is live entertainment in the evening. The hotel location is an easy short walk to several restaurants and stores at the Whalers’ village. We found that driving was easy in Maui so we were able to eat at other restaurants on the island, too. If we ever return to Maui we would choose to stay at Outrigger Kaanapali Beach Resort again. It was a peaceful, relaxing experience.
