NEVER COMING BACK!
Yes, I said never... I’ll start from the beginning. Check in was seamless, and I was upgraded. So we were off to a promising start, so I thought. Moving on, the restaurant quality was a little off from my last visit in May of 2018, so it’s not like I don’t have anything to base my experience off of... buffet was “meh”, the steakhouse doesn’t seem to know the difference between medium well or well done. There is literally no gray area. You either get a raw steak(which I’m completely ok with because I like my steak rare), or a charred well done steak. My sister dealt with this issue 3 nights in a row. They just couldn’t seem to get her steak selection right. Moving on, margarita I believe was the name of the Mexican theme restaurant. My entire family got sick. I’m literally the only one that survived that dinner. The bowling alley did not allow us to bowl, because they made an agreement with a family that was already playing, and told them they could play the entire night. So I guess my family just got left out huh... ok, I said no big deal, let’s just go upstairs to the sports bar... well, i don’t know if the bartenders just didn’t wanna serve us? Or if they were “legally blind”, I actually timed it, I waited 6 minutes and 17 seconds before a bartender decided to come to my end of the bar to serve me a draft beer... mind you, he wasn’t necessarily “busy”. Lastly, of course I saved the best for last, checkout... the individual at checkout, that I will not name because I get no pleasure over someone losing their job, was horrible. I was on a family vacation, to relax like anyone else. And the individual at checkout did everything to make sure I left with a bad taste and never return. I remember telling him that I left my room key in the room, it’s just a common practice back home, but not at ocean! They want that room key! Or else! $5 if you don’t return it! The man at checkout literally made me late for my flight, he made me a new key, and made me return all the way back to my room, at eden, And come back to the lobby. if you haven’t been here, let me tell you, it’s far. I marched back to my room, and returned with the room key, such an inconvenience, and I’ll leave it at that. It was such a displeasure staying here, and I’m so glad that my H10 privilege timeshare has ended, I will not be renewing it! Moving on! Good riddance Ocean!
EXTREMELY LACK OF GOOD COSTUMER SERVICE. MEDIOCRE SERVICE
I have been at several five stars All inclusive Hotels. I know how a five stars resorts service is like. Maybe, and only maybe the service is better if you pay the EXTRA fee to become a Privilege guest...and if you DON'T LOOK A NATIONAL Waiters and employees are very helpful and fast if you are a foreigner or if you have american dollars. RULES APPLY ONLY TO NATIONALS and kind of bend for FOREIGNERS. I know because I'm a national living abroad and every single time I talked in spanish, service was extremely slow or waiters won't even show up, you ask over the phone for towels or blankets, and they won'tbring them to you, speak English, and you'll have them right away. At the coffee shop the lady at the counter will deny you a certain type of beverage if requires her to do more work right before closing time. Cleaning...maid never changed our coffee cups until our last night. Talk to them in English, and you'll be treated differently, like taking snacks out of the beach restaurant and bringing them to your spot by the pool, only then is ok. If you are a national and try the same...be prepared to have an argument not only with the employees, but with the restaurant manager. Be prepared to be threatened to have three hot dogs and a plate of french fries charge to your room. And be prepared to be told that you won't walk out of that restaurant with your food. Be prepared to be threatened with someone taking the food away from your hands and still be charge. They rather dump the food in the garbage. But, be a foreigner...and then you can do so, no problem! Oh! Because those foreigners walked through the other door. Oh! We didn't see them!! Rules are rules and should be applied the same to foreign guests as to national ones. If you look certain way you'll receive certain quality of service. I have always stayed at the Palace chain, I should have done the same this time. Please don't bother to write me back with the same old: "we appreciate your comments", I'm not returning to this place. I'm sure your service won't improve. I can tell by the type of personal you have working as managers. The only good experience I had was at the clothing shop
My husband and I had a wonderful time together in Cacun at the Ocean Riviera Paradise. We enjoyed the food and the service was impeccable. We want to personally mention Ernesto and Sergio from the restaurant, Amaranto. They offered stellar personal service that helped us to feel welcome daily.
UK TUI - This hotel is so disappointing
Don’t know where to start. Day 3/11 and this is my third time in Mexico - previously tui sensatori, tui Azul the fives (hotel next door) This hotel is so poor and I never complain ever about hotels but this is a 3.5 - 4 star max. Arrival Arrive at hotel - no welcome drinks Carry your own bags to the room!? Drinks selection is you are not privilege is terrible: Anything with a brand is excluded bar absolute vodka and jd. Malibu, disarrano and Havana made it to the privilege list? Food - unfortunately the food is so poor. Daytime is all buffet, no alacarte. Sensatori / Azul, alacarte lunches, really good standard too. Kinda school dinner stuff here. Evening meals are really average and I’ll eat anything. In comparison to the Azul and sensatori - not even close. Starters have been enjoyable but the mains disappointing. Staff - today a beach party and circus was advertised. Went to the beach - party cancelled as there was a wedding despite having signs up all day for it Ok no worries we will go circus show at the theatre - no circus - cancelled also, Instead hotel is organising a show outside the lobby. We turn up to the lobby and see.. to cut it short... an English group of people (myself being English) performing press-ups competition with their partners.. aka a butlins abroad - Followed by the men losing their trousers stood in their boxers!? Wtf!? Lol supposed to be a 5 star resort. I asked reception what happened to the beach party and reception and the guy on reception literally shrugged his shoulders and said don’t know lol. Disappointed
Very large resort with many pools and activities to keep you involved if you choose to be or relax if that’s what you like best!! Great food, nice beach area and very pleasant staff providing great service throughout the resort!
