Excellent performer
Entertainment was excellent! Every day Chipy and his crew provided amazing service. Chipy personality is wonderful and he is hospitable as well as very well mannered. Very entertaining amazing performer!!! Entertainment was phenomenal, Restaurants staff were great too!

My new favorite destination
Staying at this resort was one of the best trips I’ve had. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They made sure the guest were enjoying themselves. The room was huge and spotless! My favorite part was the bathroom it was huge and it had two sinks and a waterfall shower head. The power never went out and the water was always hot. I learned how to salsa thanks to “chicken legs” on the blue team! I loved how the party pool was separate from the family pool but they both had a swim up bar. Lastly, I’d like to give a shout out to Briady, the privilege customer service manager for the excellent service he provided. I had one mishap and he corrected it immediately and made sure everything was smooth sailing from then on. I can see why they made him a manager. His customer service skills are top notch! This resort was a 10/10. I was there for a week and I didn’t want to leave! I will be staying again!

Top notch! I have travelled to the Dominican about 10 times as I love it but always stayed at different hotels. Well not anymore, for the first time I would book this hotel again!!! The food was delicious even at the buffets. The staff were happy and friendly. The pools and beach were nice. The rooms were clean and spacious. The grounds were gorgeous. This hotel has many “extras” as I would call them including a bowling alley that is included in your stay, a batting cage, sports bar, a coffee shop with lots of variety, and an ice cream parlour. I also loved the pond and the nature… turtles, fish, bullfrogs, even a pink flamingo! Only downside is there are not enough loungers and shade on the beach. The resort is large so I did a lot of walking which I didn’t mind but there is a trolly regularly running for those who prefer that. I am very impressed with this resort and will be going again!!!

Almost a 5 out of 5... if it were not for the towels.
A quick summary if you don't want to read through my detail: 2 adults, booked with Transat in January and selected a lower priced resort because we were just interested in the beach. Pros: - beach - clean resort - felt like a small resort - easy to walk everywhere - friendly staff - good food - the flamingo - great value for the money - would have been a 5 out of 5 Con: - towels missing when we arrived and a BIG delay to have this addressed - this knocked it down to a 4 out of 5 Detail below: We had a rough start because our flight was delayed and only arrived at the resort around 9pm local time. We were tired and hungry and to our delight the buffet was still open. After we ate, however, we discovered our room had no towels. We wanted to shower after the long travel day, so we called the various phone numbers listed on the phone (for reception, housekeeping, concierge, etc) but no answer - and we tried each several times. After walking to the lobby (5 min there, 5 min walk back, and waiting for 20 minutes) still no towels. So again, to the lobby (5 min there, 5 min walk back, and waiting for 20 minutes) and still no towels. Each time one of us stayed in the room, while the other walked over, just to be sure. Finally, I was getting upset and walked to the lobby.... just as it started to rain. I got soaked and felt this might work in my favour. Walking into reception, dripping wet (yes, it was a heavy rain) I expressed my displeasure. By this time, it was over an hour and I asked why we still did not have the towels. The answer I got... housekeeping is aware but it's raining. (A very ironic thing for him to say, me standing there dripping water all over the marble floor). In about 10 minutes after that the towels arrived and I walked back from the lobby (still through heavy rain). After that "towel disaster" the rest of the experience was great. The room we had was recently renovated - specifically the bathroom. Very nice. The room and the entire resort was clean. This included the bathrooms by the beach buffet - which I find often get dirty with sand by mid-day. But here, they were clean. Same for the bathrooms by the lobby - very nice and very clean. Staff were friendly everywhere and the beach bar was quick and easy and rarely had a line. We saw (and heard) some great "activities" going on each day and felt the activity staff did a great job. The only other possible negative was the buffet (we chose not to try any of the restaurants). Like the other reviews I read, the selection was similar day to day with a "theme" offering each night for variety. Food was very good and I had no issues, but my travelling companion got sick the second to last day. It seemed to be food poisoning with the typical symptoms you would expect. It took her about 36 hours before she felt better. In retrospect, this explains why the beach buffet was offering hand sanitizer to everyone going in. In the other reviews I checked before booking, there was a "Privilege" option which we did not select. What I can tell: the "Privilege" rooms were closer to the beach, had a roped off pool and beach sections, had a dedicated beach bar and buffet sitting area. There are other perks around the restaurant bookings, etc. FYI: The flamingo does not get along with the cats - see photo.
