We had a great time during our stay in Cancun. Out concierge Eliuth Cruz Arias was very attentive with us at all times. One of my friends is disabled and he helped accommodate us at all times. Aside from Expedia not giving us the rooms that we had to get which was very un pleasant, everything else was extraordinary. From food activities and accommodations. Thanks a lot to our concierge for helping us jut worrying on having fun and him on everything else.
Never Again. Staff is nasty and rude. Bed sheets and pillows smells like mildew. They water down the drinks. This hotel is terrible. The only nice people there are the ones that work on the BUFFET RESTAURANT. The hotel charge the guest $10 to clean up the seaweed on the beach. That is the hotels bill to pay, especially if we are already spending a arm and a leg to stay there.
Good But Not Great
I stayed at the Occidental from 5-21-19 - 5-25-19 all of the staff I encountered were nice and friendly the drinks were good the snack bar was ok there is definitely room for improvement there the things I didn’t like were that the bell boy didn’t take your bags after when you got out of the transportation vehicle also after you check in your approached by someone asking you if you would like a tour around the grounds to see were everything is at but they don’t show you anything their just trying to get you to visit a sister resort of the Occidental as far as the restaurants I went to the Mexican and the Seafood restaurants both were good they also have an Italian restaurant but we didn’t try that one the entertainment at night was good overall I think a four star rating is fair from my prospective.
This was one of the best trips I ever taken! The staff was so helpful an friendly. The food was top notch! The activities kept is as busy as we wanted. The pool an beach was a dream! I will definitely come back! Brandon was the best!
When making our reservation we called multiple times and were told they do not speak English or hung up on, when checking in we were told Xcaret offer had to be claimed at time of reservation when they would not speak to us. We are Barcelo.com member and get in-house credit, while checking out Julian (mgr) told us we didn't have proper form for this, We asked for a copy of the receipt when checking out and Julian told us he didn't have time ever thought there wasn't anyone else at the counter,
