    Amazing staff

Love this place will definitely be back. Food was well cooked for each meal, chicken, fish or beef and Jamaican style. Had pasta options once or twice. No snacks. Drinks available at the one and only bar by the beach. Water available all day at bar.. Beach is stunning but there are vendors. Two pools available. One small by the bar and one big across the street. Both are maintained well. Room are big with great AC. Staff are all extremely friendly. You have the option to visit the sister resort Samsara via free shuttle daily. Samsara doesn’t have a beach, only concrete dock like area with ladders to climb into the water. Not for beginner swimming as water is deep but clear. Wi-Fi in both hotels. No gym. Not like the big chain resorts, more quaint and family style. There is a street to cross at Legends but they provide a crossing guard who helps cross the street every time. Will be back for sure.

    Great Times Cool Vibes

We had yet another "Fantastic" time with our Friends at Legends. If you do your homework, Legends will surely be an amazing, relaxing and enjoyable vacation. We have seen too many poor reviews of our "Second home" because people just don't read reviews, ask questions or look at the hotels website. This is Not Royalton, Riu or 5 star by nature. Legends IS a wonderful place with Amazing people, who if you give them a chance, will exceed your expectations!. We love the laid back vibe and friendly accommodating people who work very hard with what they have so we can, and Always have had, a True Jamaican holiday. Too all of our very good friends at Legends, we look forward to visit number 8 just as soon as we can come Home. One Love and Respect, Steve and Carrie "We the North"

Not the worst but not the best

Pros Fantastic beach access Reasonable price Most of the staff were friendly enough Cons They have a lot of cats the entire place smells like cat urine on our first night found 4 roaches in our bathroom Rooms are poorly lit Towels seem to be a big issue no beach towels and they take almost an entire day to give you bathroom towels Rooms had a musty smell If you are on a budget this place is acceptable but if you can go anywhere else I would recommend avoiding the place

    Decent Place for 2 Stars

This is the first time we decided to stay at a place that wasn’t all inclusive or an Air BnB. Now if you’re looking for an all inclusive this isn’t the place for you. But if you’re looking for a less structured stay with some local flavour then I’d recommend this place. Quiet hotel rooms are the Garden rooms. If you’re looking for a more boisterous, party-like atmosphere then I recommend that you stay beachside. Note: you can still hear the thumping of the dancehall music next door at Rum Runners at night in the Gardens but it’s not as loud as it would be beachside. Either way, the rooms are basic, no room safe (safety deposit boxes available and accessible until 10pm - be patient accessing them during busy times, staff can be busy assisting others), basic toiletries, bring your own shampoo/conditioner. And bring enough sunscreen of your own, it’s costly to purchase on the beach. Towel service in rooms is sporadic. There were times when we didn’t get replacement towels until later on in the day. Once we had to call and request them. Hotel security will assist you crossing the street to access Garden rooms & please follow their direction - traffic DOES NOT slow down for pedestrians. Respect the local customs lol. The food is alright, breakfast buffet is local & authentic. Don’t be expecting the variety of all inclusives. The jerk chicken is amazing! Service is a bit slow but hey, this is Jamaica..take it easy and order before you’re famished. And on that note, the wifi is sporadic. So enjoy the vacation, not social media. The beach is also typical of Seven Mile Beach. Loud, lots of vendors trying to sell weed, wares or excursions. Security will chase the vendors away if they’re too pushy. Don’t make eye contact with them if you’re not interested in buying, eye contact infers that you’re wanting to buy. If you want a chaise you’d better get down there early and throw a towel on one to reserve it. And bring your own beach towel, they aren’t provided. We knew this in advance and brought massive thick towels. Definitely made the chaises more comfortable. Also made new friends of other visitors. There are plenty of ways to enjoy local diners and the such. Explore and ask for recommendations. And please, take the taxi’s established by the hotel. They are doubly certified by Jamaican requirements and carry the right amount of safety & protection for riders. And PLEASE do not shop at the mall-like place next door. This isn’t owned by Jamaicans but overseas investors. They have one ATM/Bank Machine but it’s often out of cash. There is a Bank of Nova Scotia a short cab ride into town. Shop in town or ask for the one Jamaican-owned souvenir shop just a short walk down the road.

    Jamaica much RESPECT

location is amazing on the cliffs. Ever morning there is a local guy fishing for Barracuda below the cliffs. I was able to swim along side him while he caught fish. Very friendly. Marcia the bartender is great! Nice feature to be shuttled between the beach and cliffs to experience both locations. The garden rooms huts are darling! Nice local spot across the street for "authentic" Jamaican breakfast!
