Very nice hotel. Beach is amazing
We had a very nice time on this hotel. The personnel was very friendly. Food was good, the pool was very nice, great view. But what we enjoyed the must was the beach. The room was also very nice. Great view.
Praise to the service on the beach
I've been coming to this hotel and beach for the last 16 years in total, and I liked this place so much that I bought a property nearby after a few years but kept coming to this beach ever since. The beach is secluded because of the geography of this area where one gets access only through the hotel. The service however is above every other place I've been. The waiters are attentive and eager to please you. Particularly Sergio, who I consider the best waiter in the world, but there are the others as well, Alberto, Margarito, Klein, Hector and many others who go above and beyond to make you feel happy. Sergio is the most discreet person who without bothering you, notices from afar if your glass is near empty, who remembers year after year your preferences, who knows when is the best moment to bring you your preferred food or drink, who goes to the other restaurants in the hotel to get what you want if what you ordered happen not to be available on the beach. Many times I wonder if Sergio has the ability to read your mind. Ha ha ha, that would be scary, but he reads you and knows what you and your friends want and impresses me every time with how completely his service ends up to be. I thank Sergio and all others here for all the good moments and services they offered me all these years and I hope to say the same in the next twenty years.
The rooms are very nice as well as the food. My husband and I are on the senior side so the stairs are a problem but you can get around it by taking elevators once you know the layout of the hotel. Roomservice and beach service were excellent. The empanadas are very tasty The only disappointment was that the ocean was very rough red flags every day. Many people did swim but I was a little uncomfortable. The nice thing about the beach was that it was private no vendors!.
Heart break after 30 years
We’ve been coming to Las Brisas for over 30 years. After the 2008 recession, we watched management stumble and bumble with what to do. Apparently, they think all-inclusive is their future. The whole place is now so “dumbed down,” it is a wreck. The menus have lost all interesting items. Long term staff are cowed. We left a week early because we couldn’t bear to see a formerly great lady looking like a street hooker. No class. No personality. Very sad. Hope it works for somebody, not for us.
Not the best - but not too bad
Stayed for 10 days (Nov 13-23) as an all inclusive package. CON's: Disappointed in the food choices. The buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner offered very little variety or selection. Food choices were basically Mexican cuisine. The buffet does not offer "theme" nights to mix up the menu. Although it is not advertised, they do offer "Ala carte" options at the buffet - which we were thankful for. During "low" season, the Mediterranean restaurant is closed, leaving the only options of Buffet and 2 Ala carte restaurants, Italian & Mexican (these are on alternating nights). Don't get me wrong, we love Mexican food - but can not eat it every day. As this time frame is considered low season, I understand that it is necessary to reduce staff etc. However, we always travel at this time and have not noticed this as much at other resorts. There is also no entertainment at this resort. Lobby bar only had music playing on the weekend - during the influx of locals. PRO'S: The beach, water and staff are amazing. Thankfully that made up for the disappointment! FYI, if you have mobility issues - beware. Resort is built on a cliff and the resort is spread out. Prepare for lots of walking and there are tons of stairs!
