Las Brisas for a Special Getaway
On our recent stay at Las Brisas everything was almost perfect. The staff is super friendly and the location is breathtaking with spectacular views. I have gone many times to Acapulco and always wanted to stay where so many famous personalities have stayed over the years. I was not disappointed. I loved the big terrace with our own mini-pool. The staff leaves a nice continental breakfast ( coffee, rolls and fruit) every morning at 7:30. However, if you are going with children, which we did not, there is not a beach, only the private pool at your villa and two large pools by the sea. The hotel provides service in vans and jeeps to any location on the property since it like a small town. We enjoyed our stay and I would recommend it to people interested in top-quality service at a higher price. The beds were comfortable, although a little soft to my liking. It is better to have a car if you want to go to other locations and beaches in Acapulco.
Took our breath away!
We have never been this impressed with a hotel, ever! The location...the views...the quality of the food...perfect! We literally had goosebumps when the jeep took us up the steep hills and we started to see the incredible views. Pictures do not come close to describe the views, and the atmosphere of the place, it is something very very special. We loved the room, which was a junior suite with private pool, on level "400". We especially appreciated the special touches they provide, like fresh flowers in the pool daily, "mini" breakfast delivered to the room, turn down service, and a complimentary bottle of wine and snacks delivered in the afternoon. All in all just a perfect hotel stay, and it was 1000 times better than we had ever imagined! The beach club...oh my. We loved it. Didn't even go in the regular pool because we loved the saltwater pool. They let you rent snorkel gear right there and you can spend hours looking at the pretty little fishes! A snorkeling trip, without having to get on a boat! Also, the ride from the hotel to the beach club, which is complimentary and runs every 20 minutes...it takes you through an exclusive little hillside community, with lots of very interesting looking houses, all chiseled into the hillside with tropical forests surrounding them...we just loved experiencing a moment of life like that, which must be wonderful. The food...the only restaurants we tried were the beach club restaurant, and the room service. Both were great, but the beachclub restaurant is easily one of the top 5 eating experiences we have had. We tried the Paella, the shrimp quesadillas, and fish tacos. All were out of this world good, but the Paella was our favorite. To the quality of the food, add the atmosphere of 270 degree ocean views, and the waves breaking against the rocks just a few feet below, and you have one of the most memorable eating experiences you will ever have. Nancy, our waitress, was incredible. We loved her, and our service was over the top. A few suggestions for improvements: Please put a coffeemaker in the room. Water temperature in shower was hard to regulate, please change that. If you bring wine, please provide a bottle opener! Thank you Las Brisas, we will be back for sure, and we cannot wait!
Too pricey for my AC not to work.
The main issue I had with this hotel was that for the price we paid per night my A.C should work. Our first night the A.C. turned off in the middle of the night and after playing with the remote for 15 minutes i was finally able to turn it back on we had no issues during the day turning it off and on not sure why it took so long at night. Second night same thing damn thing turned off it was so HOT!! Never got the darn thing to turn back on. We did not sleep that night the lights went off due to thunder but came back up but the a.c. never worked again. We tried calling reception for help but the phone just rang and rang. We also wanted to order breakfast and the reception did not answer. Coffee was delivered around 8:30 am and we were told their phone system was not working Great!!! and that they would send someone to take our order NO LUCK after an hour we left. Other than that the view was beautiful, staff was friendly, the kids loved the private swimming pool.
We Love This Place
We've been regulars at Las Brisas for nearly 30 years. This resort is perfect for us: spectacular views, privacy, lovely accommodations, attentive, friendly service, continental breakfast delivered daily in the "magic box". Every casita is unique. Our top choices are 360, 310 and 328. All are a superb value for the traveling dollar. Plus, CBX and Volaris make Acapulco a convenient destination from the Southwest US. Crossing the border at CBX takes only minutes going either way. And Volaris has a low-cost non-stop flight direct from CBX to Acapulco.
