Large family vacation
We stayed at the Koloa Landing Resort for about a week with 15 adults/kids and an infant. It was one of the most well kept resorts we have ever stayed at for a vacation like this. We had all the amenities we needed and close proximity to beaches and excursions. The staff helped us pick tours and adventure as well as book and coordinate are everything we needed. It truly couldn’t have been a better vacation!
Modern, luxurious resort!! Great for families!!
Our family stayed in a 3-bedroom resort-view villa beside the Lagoon Pool. Great parking in front of the building and convenient. The grounds are beautifully maintained. Every morning we could see the pool being cleaned/maintained. The main pool was a short walk away, and we enjoyed the different areas of the pool: infinity pool, slides, jacuzzis, etc. There was always adequate seating and never too crowded. Staff was helpful and pleasant. The villa itself was large, luxurious and spacious. Our teenagers stayed in the room with the twin beds and full bathroom, while mom stayed in the room with a queen bed and separate bath. The master bedroom was large and spacious as well. The kitchen was fully-stocked and the living room conveniently located next to the lanai that wrapped around from the master bedroom to the 2nd bedroom. There was a nice table outside that could seat 6 people comfortably. We enjoyed many meals on the lanai----just beautiful out there! Especially with the tropical breeze blowing, and a great view of the pool below and surrounding grounds! In addition, there were other patio furniture for sitting and relaxing! It was a wonderful space to relax in. We would definitely stay there again, but maybe closer to the main pool. My kids and husband went to get shave ice around 3:50pm, 10 minutes before they closed, and the staff there told them they had run out of ice. My family and other children were turned away. That was quite inconvenient and disappointing. Also, wish they had a little bit more of a variety for dining, but overall, it was a great stay!
We traveled with both our children and both grandchildren and had a 3 bedroom unit here. We were in building 1 on the third floor. Our unit was large and beautiful. We had a direct view of the ocean though this resort does not seem to have direct beach access. Poipu beach is close, probably less than a mile. The unit had a large living area and large kitchen. There is a grocery store close by so that was convenient and a small market on property. The bedrooms and bathrooms were also large and very nice. We enjoyed the pool area though we didn't spend all that much time there. We found the service at the restaurant and pool service to be slow.
Pool = Amazing - Something for everybody. Room = Amazing - Spacious, full kitchen, full size washer/dryer, clean, nice Staff = Amazing - Front desk, to the President, to the kid at the top of the waterslide telling you it's your turn to slide. Property/grounds/amenities = Amazing - Clean, nice. Value = Amazing - Couldn't ask for a better value for luxury. Stayed 11 days, just wish I was still there.
great stay for families
We stayed 5 nights in a 3 bedroom villa. The property is always kept very clean and very fresh, the pools aren't too crowded, and the rooms themselves are very spacious and comfortable. It is clear that the staff is very friendly and I imagine that during training, they are told never to say no. The only "con" is that there isn't a beach right next to the resort, but we did drive 4 minutes to Poipu beach where it was very pleasant.
