Amazing first day!
Just checked in yesterday for a six night stay. It’s been great so far. Love the size of the hotel and location. Husband, daughter and I enjoy yes the yoga on the lawn overlooking the ocean followed by a lovely breakfast. Breakfast buffet could be improved with more choices, but is still very good with lots of choice with the mains.
Hotel is great however HORRIBLE breakfast.
We stayed there for 4 nights. The staff is great and very helpful. Rooms are good and the atmosphere is peaceful. We tried the dinner at the Red Salt, the vanilla fish was really good (don’t bother trying the desserts it’s un necessary). We’ve decided to try the breakfast one morning....big mistake! This is the worst avocado toast I’ve ever had in my life. The bread is greasy, the avocado doesn’t taste anything and the eggs were absolutely horrible. The buffet is useless and just have a look at the photos of pastries... Overall, the hotel is great but if you want a nice breakfast go to the Fish café around the corner. It’s fresh, delicious and offers a great variety of food!
My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at Koa Kea resort in July this year. The accomodation was very comfortable and clean, the staff were very helpful and had great local knowledge. It was really handy how we were given maps and direction cards for local attractions. Don’t miss the out on the bar, pool and a beautiful sunset on the lawn!
My wife and I spent four nights in June at the Ko'a Kea Hotel & Resort. Our room had a garden view was quiet and very comfortable. We really loved the beach area. The swimming was great and so was the snorkeling. We saw many different types of fish and saw a monk seal resting on the beach.
Incredible stay for 5th anniversary
My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights to celebrate our 5th anniversary - it was the most perfect 5 days. We arrived at the resort around 10am. Check-in isn’t until 4:30pm, but we were able to use the bellhop/valet services and go to the pool/beach before our room was ready. We opted for a garden-view room, mostly to save money, but also because we knew we wouldn’t spend much time in the room. It was beautiful, clean, and had a luxurious bathroom. We received complimentary bottle of wine as well as water bottles and chocolates each evening. We didn’t see the inside of any ocean-view rooms, but from the outside they looked amazing if that is what you prioritize. The pool and hot tub are very nice, but we spent most of our time out and about the island, or lounging on the beach just north of the resort. There are fire pits with lounge chairs that would make a great evening hangout if you are there with a group. The staff was incredible - extremely accommodating and friendly. Special shoutout to the valet team as they were so helpful and knowledgeable anytime we had questions about an activity. We tried the restaurant one evening. The food was very good though I felt it was a bit overpriced, but I’m probably just cheap :) This is not an inexpensive option on Kauai, but it was worth every penny. Highly recommend!
