My second 1 rating in my 40,000 points.
All I can say about the pictures of this less than motel six type hotel is the photographer is a miracle worker. The few truths in the hotel description is water front, bikes, and free valet parking. Pools, yes, extremely small and needs massive reconditioning. Sleek rooms, are you kidding me? Musty smelling, small cramped bathrooms with mildew near the tub/shower, too soft mattresses, old furniture. Beach views, maybe from the four end, side facing rooms, otherwise you go out your patio, onto the grass to see the ocean- and yes, we paid $$ for ocean view. Our check in was handled by a very friendly person, the maids and other employees we encountered were friendly, other inquiries at front desk - rude and appeared bothered by our inquiries. Absolutely worse parking lot I have ever had to park in. One nice gesture today, a hour later checkin. If you have other choices for a hotel I would suggest you take it.
Good value hotel
Great location if you need to be near the Airport and right on the beach. 24hour front desk and free Valet parking. Lava Lava beach club has a great atmosphere. Close to Kapaa and next door to Coconut Market place
Good hotel, will return if I am ever back there.
The reception ladies were very friendly and tried to accommodate to all our wishes. We got good rooms with good A/C, TV, balcony, beds and bathroom. It is a little dated but that didn't mean it was not clean or broken, everything was in working order. Enough free parking and lights on the parking outside. One issue: I am a e-vaper and needed to go all the way outside the premises to vape, this is not nice and I also don't really understand it as I am not a tobacco smoker. It was forbidden to smoke on the balcony outside the room, this is for me the only negative aspect. We had a great time there and will certainly come back if I am ever in the neighborhood again. The LavaLava beach club (not owned by the hotel) has good food/cocktails but is a bit pricy.
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and genuinely concerned with our satisfaction. The Lava Lava Beach Club was one of the better places we ate, although the service was sometimes a bit slow.
Extended stay here
This is an amazing hotel in every department: Location is great (close to airport in case you don’t rent a car), the property is beautiful (with one of the few restaurants that actually has tables in the sand!), the staff was incredible and kind, there’s A/C in the rooms (our first place did not and it was hard to sleep) and the price was impossible to beat! My husband and I had to stay extra days on our vacation because he became very ill and was admitted to the hospital. I found this hotel by chance and I’m so glad I did. The front desk was so helpful and understanding with our crazy situation and it made the rest of our stay so much easier. Highly recommend this place.
