Surprise hotel/motel experience
Our room was located 10 feet from one of the pools on the location. We enjoyed a quick swim and sit on our porch and enjoy the beautiful weather (in May, no rain). We loved the restaurant connected to the motel (food was amazing and reasonable esp if you shared the larger quantity food items) We found the waitresses friendly and awesome to help make our experience good. Sitting in the chair in the sand on the beach couldn't get any closer to the ocean and the beauty therein. Can't say enough about the hotel and people there. We will be going back twice a year and staying at the same place...........have to thank the people for the wonderful experience. The signage to get into the place is so small, it's unknown - an unknown beauty. Games in the grass to play, drinks were marvelous and entertainment was fun to have while eating. Even tho the rooms are a little dated and not as modern as some of the other motels, they were clean, well kept up by maids as well as maintenance.............5 stars in my book ***** Mary
Great value for the location and price. We were in a room near the valet so it was a bit noisy. If you want a room that is more peaceful ask for one up the back or a pool view room. Great service from all staff - check in, housekeeping and servers at the beach club. Breakfast was great too. Beach was a bit rough but we had no issues swimming in it. The pools were pretty hot so not really refreshing, but understand it's out of their control.
Awesome hotel for great value
We loved our stay here! The vibe is really fun, friendly staff, comfortable room, good location walking distance to shopping center. Free yoga daily on the lawn was a bonus. Awesome restaurant on site! Definitely recommend!
What an amazing trip! The hotel was in the perfect spot- close to town but not so close that you felt crowded. It is also basically in the center of the islands coast, meaning no matter where on the island you plan to travel it’s no more than an hour! The staff was super friendly and very helpful with everything we needed. The concierge helped us book two day trips which were absolutely awesome! Definitely recommend Kauai shores hotel to anyone planning a trip!!
Nice Rooms if you get the Kitchenette
Get a room with the Kitchenette, otherwise the rooms are SMALL. Nice beach and next to Whaler's shopping area. Front Desk people very nice as well as housekeeping staff. Nice pools and hot tub and they have a few of lawn games for fun. Bar and Restaurant ON the premises is (almost) by reservation only. We wanted just drinks and we could only set AT the Bar, at a long Bar like table, or a small area with padded lounge chairs. Tables were for guests with reservations only or if you were ordering food along with your drinks! (But they gave us 2 free Mai Tai coupons to use...) Employees were VERY Nice and accommodating. They have Valet Parking but not much space for those cars Valet Parked. Parking lots need re-worked as there is not enough room to park and THEN get out of the car. While we were there a Hawaiian Monk Seal came up to sleep on their beach, that was so cool!
