The Ka’anapali coast is the best in Maui and that’s where you want to be as a tourist, peacefully and privately away from locals. With that said, this hotel has a good location and great breakfast buffet. However, time stopped at this hotel. It looks like the property has not been updated since 1980. Very rundown. It looks like it has its original EVERYTHING (desks, chairs, furniture, air conditioning unit, paint, carpet, seat cushion, popcorn ceiling, wall paper, furniture...). Not worth it. I would only stay here again for $100 a night, maybe.

    An Excellent Get-Away

Get away from the Urban Jungle! Stay where you can swim in a pool or ocean, enjoy pool-side food, many daily activities and nightly entertainment. Walking distance from shops. The Staff has the feel of the Islands!

You get what you pay for. There are more appealing hotels on beaches that are just as nice. Although the hotel is clean, the age of the bathrooms, carpets, and rooms on a whole make them appear dirty. A fresh coat of paint and new carpets would go a long way. There is not an elevator in each building so check to make sure there's one in the building you'll be in. We were on the second floor so it was not a big deal. But no one even offered to help us with our bags. The staff at the Tiki Bar was not very friendly. There was no other way for us to order drinks than to go to the bar. When I got there I was met by a waitress who made it known she was unhappy I was ordering my own drink. Well, if I knew there was a waitress available to place an order with I would have happily done so. Certain drinks are only served in a glass. There is no glass allowed by the pool, understandably so. Even though there are two what I would call patios, apparently you're only allowed to drink at the one closest to the hotel. My son was made aware of this by a bartender who asked him where he was going. When he told her he was going to sit by the patio while pointing to it she said to him, "Didn't I serve you yesterday?" He said yes. She replied with, "Didn't we already go over this?" RUDE!!! Beautiful beach. Mediocre hotel at best. I wouldn't go back.

Great Hawaiian Adventure for all ages

Having holidayed for 2 weeks across Hawaii, this was the only location to embrace the full cultural opportunity that an Island holiday can represent. Great service from the staff, very comfortable room and informative and fun entertainment every night. We would holiday at the resort again, 4 days was a week too short. 😎😎

Lovely hotel grounds right at beach

The hotel has lovely grounds and is right at the beach. They have free evening entertainment all days but Monday when they have a luau. There is a nice farewell ceremony if you are able to attend that. Many of the staff can speak Hawaiian.
