    Excellent value

The facilities and fixtures might not be as modern as neighboring resorts (70s vibe), but it's an excellent value, good food, and a great location. The Trilogy snorkeling tour catamaran pulls right up on the beach for pickup.

    Tired property, great location

If you are booking this property, avoid the lower rooms on the north side as you look into a hedge with a slight view of the Ocean, and they are very tired. We have stayed here before (2014) but I doubt the property has been renovated since this time. Great location, but the property desperately is in need of a major capital improvement project.

$1.59 for a safe you won't use. But the stay was alright

Check-in times are 3pm, which is 5pm PST and 8pm EDT. When you arrive and its not ready it is a big deal. After traveling 6 hours by place and another hour by car it was unfortunate for our room to not be ready till 4pm. It should be a safe and secure hotel and I'm sure it is but the $1.59 fee/day to use a lock and key safe sends the opposite message. It is expected to be safe and secure, it should be complementary like the rest of the industry standards. The breakfast vouchers were nice and breakfast was good. They do tell you that they are valued at the Grab and Go for $20 BUT they don't tell you not everything at the Grab and Go is breakfast. So you give them your voucher and they charge your room. Surprise! The Valet. Luggage and housekeeping staff were excellent. It is on Ka'anapali Beach. But definitely made me look at Vacation Rentals By Owner which would allow more flexibility, a cheaper nightly rate and a customized experience.

Kaanapali Beach Hotel - great value

One of the oldest hotels on Kaanapali Beach but is a great value. Bathrooms are slightly worn but room size is ample. Nice large beach area and friendly staff. Entertainment at night. One perk is a laundromat on the property.
