I was skeptical of resorts, but I have been converted. Highly recommend Iberostar in Cozumel.
When my father suggested we do our family trip at a resort, I was skeptical. I didn't want to miss out on having the full travel experience. But after staying at Iberostar in Cozumel, I am sold. It was the perfect combination of relaxation with exciting activities and excursions to take advantage of. The resort has all the amenities you might need, and the pool is gorgeous. The best part of our stay however was definitely the staff; they made us feel so welcome. Huge thanks to Elihut and the Entertainment Team who made our stay so special. I was a big fan of the inflatable obstacle course, karaoke, and Boogie Night! Also, the food was amazing, with tons of variety. Shout out to Yoania for treating us like royalty every night. The entire resort was very clean and the rooms were perfect. Thanks to all the cleaning and maintenance staff. I would highly recommend staying here for anyone who is thinking about having their first resort experience like me.

10/10 Yoania is a savant 🫡
Yoania is amazing! She made our trip unforgettable. Very attentive and always making sure we have everything we need and were having a good time. Overall, everything was very clean, the food and drinks were great, and the workers were so friendly. A very welcoming resort for all. LGBTQA+ friendly

Superb food, activities, and resort
Hands down the best vacation I’ve been on! They have literally everything here. The food (all you can eat food and alcohol) is impeccable. Incredible gourmet dishes with different themes each night and multiple beach and poolside bars. They also have water activities all included like snorkeling, wind surfing, catamarans, kayaks, paddle boarding. And there is an amazing entertainment team that plans games and activities (all organized and displayed in the app) for people of all ages and interests. Some of my favorite activities included the fire show, pool aerial acrobat performance, volleyball tournament, and ceramic painting. Pretty much all activities are included in the price (except for scuba diving and ceramics painting which was extra). There is amazing wildlife here, like coati, iguanas, macaws, flamingos. And the sea life is INCREDIBLE. Just snorkeling I saw thousands of gorgeous tropical fish, multiple barracudas, many starfish and conch, and a sting ray. The water is pristine crystal clear blue. Scuba diving we also saw beautiful coral and sea turtles (Riki-our scuba tour guide- and Tanya-our instructor- were absolutely wonderful. They were knowledgeable, patient, fun, and helped ease any nerves we had). Everyone was so friendly and fun and I was able to practice my Spanish a lot! The sleeping rooms were also so cute with AC and ours was right by the beach and pool. For the price you’re not going to find a better place!

Great all-inclusive in Cozumel!
Lovely resort with something for everyone! We loved the buffet meals, the pool is inviting and the service is outstanding. We want to send a special shout out to the restaurant manager Yoania for her kindness and impeccable customer service. My younger son loved the kid's camp and we want to say thank you to Ismael, Sol and Rosa for making his time there the best. The lunch buffett was okay but the snack shack near the pool was a great alternative with burgers, hot dogs, fries, fruit, desserts and soft serve. Pool service was great although sometimes it was hard to find someone but overall we were pleased. Thank you to Ruby, Ana and Irene for bringing us drinks. Overall a great resort for families. We will be back!

Wonderful spot for SCUBA and Food
Went on a three day trip to finish my SCUBA certification with my husband. We are mid 30s from NYC no kids. See categories below! FOOD AND DRINK: Great all-inclusive resort, loved the breakfast buffet and all the restaurant options for dinner. Had great meals with variety of healthy options. We are from NYC and pretty picky, but were pleasantly surprised by food options and quality. Was worried the inclusive alcoholic drinks would be touristy fruity nonsense but found the lobby bar had decent cocktail choices and could make proper drinks. One option for wine, beer, and prosecco included at meals with option for add on wine from a menu. Only bummer was lunch - everything closes from about 4-6 expect a crappy lunch shack on the beach with mediocre burgers and hot dogs. Since we arrived during that time the first day and after each scuba session that was the only thing open and we just waited until dinner instead. ATMOSPHERE: We came primarily for Scuba so hotel activities weren’t high on the list, but they were definitely pretty touristy / lame - Bingo, pool games, themed dance nights and shows like 80s night. People seemed to enjoy but wasn’t for us. Decent amount of kids but not over welcoming for a family friendly report but wouldn’t go for a romantic vacation. GROUNDS: The resort was really lovely, large but walkable and very jungly, felt like you were in nature everywhere you went, very green and beautiful. Best part was the animals!! So many amazing creatures - parrots, flamingos, a hawk, peahens and a peacock (do not go here if you hate birds lol), coati, lizards, iguanas, kitties and more. Was such a nice surprise to have all the animals. SERVICE: All staff was amazing! Kind, helpful, and friendly. Considering the state of the world at the moment they welcomed Americans a hell of a lot better than I could have. Thank you everyone for your amazing hospitality in a terrible time. SCUBA: Dressel Divers was a great dive shop. I was able to finish my certification and have amazing dives in huge reefs filled with so many colorful fish, eels, sharks, rays, and more. They were very helpful, organized, well priced, and the guides were great. Went on a scuba trip too and still saw a ton of new stuff at different locations. TRAVEL: Biggest bummer was getting there from the Cancun airport. Took longer than we expected, but on us for not researching that part as much. From the airport take a bus or taxi 50 min to ferry at Playa Del Carmen then a 45 min ferry to Cozumel then a 25 min taxi to resort (I think this last Taxi should be provided by the hotel and included - or at least offer a shuttle a few times a day). So 3+ hours. But once you’re at the resort there’s no reason to leave. Hope this helps anyone planning their trip!
