    Lovely get away.

We had the best time with our kids and their spouses at the Iberostar Cozumel. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are comfy. We spent a lot of time by the pool and joined in on a lot of fun activities. Most of all, the people working there are lovely. Highly recommend.

    Disappointing Presidential Suite Experience

My wife and I have visited Iberostar Cozumel on several occasions in the past and have found it to be an exceptional value. That is until this visit. When we first discovered this resort, we were initially attracted by the $700 per person weekly rate which was amazing. The cheapest rate is now more than double that. This time, we chose the Presidential Suite and found it to be a disappointing experience. The online literature promised direct beach access. The only beach access is exclusive to their Prestige program guests and was not available to us. When we checked in we were told that to celebrate our anniversary they were going to drop a bottle of champagne off at our room, no follow through there even though we reminded them. Also at check in they told us that we qualified for 2 hours late check out if we called 24 hours in advance and requested it. When we called they said they can’t offer it because it takes an hour to clean this suite. The point is, don’t offer things that you don’t follow through on. On day one, there wasn’t any hot water. After a visit by maintenance, there was hot water but only after a very long wait and not on all occasions. The safe failed and we waited an hour and a half for someone to come fix it; they would not fix it while we were away even though we told them our valuables had been removed. For Iberostar management, you have one Presidential suite. How difficult would it be to offer some premium amenities? For example, For a room at this price point at Sandals, you get a butler, liquor of your choosing in the mini bar and a number of other premium services. Cruise ships are also your competition. At this price point they also offer a host of upgrades and premium amenities. Couldn’t you offer your Presidential suite guests access to the Prestige lounge which is right next door? That would be an excellent way to introduce guests to your Prestige program. The private pool was pretty to look at but without heat and limited sunshine due to shade from buildings and trees, it was much too cold to use. While we may visit again in the future, we will certainly not be spending triple the price for this room again.

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A True Diver’s Paradise!

Iberostar Waves Cozumel is everything a diver could dream of and more. If you’re coming to Cozumel for world-class diving, this is the place. The on-site Dressel Divers centre and long pier makes everything seamless, and being able to walk from your room to the dock is unbeatable. All drift-diving in crystal clear water, stunning reefs, incredible visibility — absolute diver’s paradise. But the entire resort experience, beyond the diving, is exceptional. The food is delicious and varied, with multiple restaurants offering something for everyone. From fresh seafood to authentic Mexican cuisine Chinese and barbeque, every meal was excellent. There are several bars throughout the property, including a fantastic swim-up bar at the main pool. Whether you want a quiet cocktail in the evening or something refreshing after a dive, you’re covered. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious, each with its own private patio and hammock — perfect for relaxing between dives or just soaking in the tropical vibe. Waking up to palm trees and ocean breeze never gets old. There are activities daily, from guacamole-making classes to sunset beach yoga, and the nightly shows are genuinely entertaining. There’s always something happening, but it never feels overwhelming. You can be as active or as relaxed as you want. And the staff? Absolutely amazing! Friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. Every interaction felt warm and authentic. A special shout-out to Christian Ocampo in Guest Services, who went above and beyond to help me track down an adapter I needed for my tablet. That level of care makes all the difference. I can’t recommend Iberostar Waves Cozumel highly enough. Whether you’re an avid diver or just looking for a beautiful, laid-back all-inclusive experience, this place delivers. I’ll definitely be back!
