Day Pass - Hit or Miss
This is about a day pass only. The highlights: Pool Engaging kid’s club Drinks Beach The negatives: The water was off. You couldn’t flush the toilets in public restrooms, wash your hands, take a shower as promised. It was gross, especially for what we paid for a day pass. The food wasn’t great. My family was happy to be getting back on our cruise since the food was better on the ship. The icing on the cake was that there was no apology for the water being out. I emailed the resort with the email provided on my day passes and got no response. Thank goodness we were only there for a day.

Employees that treat you like family.
If anyone wants to vacation with people that make you feel like family then the Cozumel Iberostar is the place to be. I came with a group at least once a year. At first it was because within our group there were three husbands that were divers. Dressel Divers is a top notch company. Since losing my husband I still return because of the employees that make you feel like family with recognition and warm hugs. Be on the lookout for Cindy, Wilbert, and Fabian in the restaurants if you want to be treated like you are the most important guest in the place. The Iberostar is a lovely place to vacation but these three are definitely the reason i will continue to visit each year.

Top Notch Experience! Amazing Resort and Staff!!
Incredible experience! This was my first time staying with Iberostar and 8 days at Iberostar Waves Cozumel was top notch because of the resort and the wonderful staff!! I specifically came for diving (my Dressel Dive review is 10/10), but had no idea the resort would offer so much more which is very different than any other dive resorts I’ve been to before!! I didn’t know what I’d been missing out on until now. They had different activities and competitions to join everyday, entertainment at night, the friendliest staff who truly enhance our experience and really brought more guests together through these events! Azael and Gerry were the greatest entertainment hosts and we had so much fun and many laughs together! The resort is stunning, feeling like you’re hidden in a jungle until you approach the breathtaking pool and ocean view. The pool is huge with a double sided swim up bar (all inclusive). It was fun to see our incredible dive master Andres at the pool giving beginner lessons to people wanting to learn to dive and seeing how much fun those guests were having, experiencing diving for the first time! The ocean view is just stunning and a little more removed from the action for more R&R! All the food was incredible and they can accommodate any dietary needs. Maria made fresh tortillas everyday for the best lunch tacos and was so kind and happy! The chefs were always so friendly and checking in on guests if they needed or wanted anything else during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The best all inclusive I have ever experienced but the people there and at the dive shop are the difference maker! Overall, I’m not sure I could see myself staying anywhere else in Cozumel in the future!

Wonderful experience at Iberostaor
Loved every minute of our stay at iberostar. The staff was accommodating, kind and always lovely to be around. Enjoyed the food and drinks. Very clean with beautiful landscaping. Overall I felt this resort exceeded expectations for the cost. I will be back.

Another relaxing visit
We had a really relaxing 10 nights. This was my 6th time here and my husband’s 5th. We also had 4 friends fly down separately to join us this trip. The room was great, very comfortable and firm bed and good water pressure in the shower. It really doesn’t matter where our room is. Wandering around the jungle is so fun, as is sitting on our patio watching all the animals go by. A few things were different this time. Reservations are no longer required for the dinner restaurants, so that was great. That unfortunately means the concierge is free to try a timeshare pitch when we checked in. No. Just no. All the food was good again, great variety. The theme nights in the buffet were fun. The Asian and Mexican restaurants have zero chocolate desserts, so we end up at the buffet every night for dessert. Gala night and Mexican night were the best. Breakfast is always good and has everything. Coffee service is hit or miss. The machines work 50% of the time. The staff here is the best. We love Ana/Argely at breakfast, Joshua at the lunch buffet, and Guadalupe and Ana the pool waitresses are outstanding and friendly. Isidro at the beach bar is exceptional and friendly. Our room cleaner was fantastic and we always had plenty of Coke Zero in our mini bar. Aqua Fit and Aqua fun with Manolo were always good, and probably the only activity we did this time. The current entertainment staff wasn’t as good as years past… The rock show was always awesome and so fun before but it was silly and embarrassing this year, and not because the band isn’t excellent. My only real complaint is that there needs to be more beach palapas. The beach is spectacular but we need more shade, and every palapa was reserved by 7 am every single day. The beach has room for 50 more, make it happen.
