AAA a lovely place tp lay back and enjoy
we had a nice room facing a garden and other accommodations with a large green area to view over. and a compact balcony to relax and have a glass of wine. The hotel had all we could emagine and more for our getaway. everything was wonderful. Pech was our concierge who arranged all our booking and made recommendation that turn out wonderfully especially dinner at the Jambalaya restaurant. a smaller more intimate dinning facility on the property. the restaurant lady who was the captain of the Jambalaya was very welcoming and the waiter Erick took special charge of us and accommodated every wish we had . he also explained the cajun dishes and made my evening. thank you everyone we met that worked there was very helpful especially in the fitness Gym the young ladies helped in every way possible explaining the machines and tuning in the TV's on the various equipment. a great all inclusive hotel
Amazing resort and hospitality, all people really nice and the employees outstanding on the service, great place and also my recognize to Bruno Suarez our concierge amazing attitude and help, really on the top for help and recommendations.
We stayed May 8-16, three couples and we all had a wonderful time! We absolutely loved the pool, a little heartbroken over the amount of seaweed but I would never hold the resort accountable for that. We went for beach walks at 7am and the staff were out trying remove the seaweed as fast as it was coming in, we certainly couldn’t say the resort wasn’t making an effort. Definitely a resort for families, the kids club seemed to be amazing! The kids were always going around the resort on some sort of adventure and the workers seemed to genuinely love their job. We loved the night shows, the sports bar (it’s the playoffs), and the piano bar. None of us are big drinkers so I can’t really weigh in on the alcohol quality but I did see some top shelf labels. The bartenders and servers were always pleasant and willing to recommend a new drink. We opted for a room upgrade, I honestly wouldn’t bother again. Basically we were in the same room (size/quality wise) as our friends but a closer building to the beach/pool. I would like to mention that our Best Day/Air Canada rep Antonio was amazing! He was able to give us great suggestions on excursions and lots of information about the local area. The staff as whole were great, always a smile and a hello, they went above and beyond to be accommodating. Special mention to Erick the server who works the buffet as his service was incredible.
Will definitely be coming back!
My family and I stayed at Iberostar Paraiso Lindo for 10 days from May 19-29. We have absolutely no complaints about our vacation and are planning on making this an annual trip. :) From the concierges at check-in and in our building (52) to the cleaning staff, to the entertainment staff, public services, restaurant employees; Everyone was so sweet and accommodating. Special shout out to Roger and Ruben; they were always there if we had any concerns or questions. The pools were very well-kept, the grounds were immaculate. There's a lot of greenery and wildlife (peacocks, coatis, macaws, iguanas) which was beautiful. This resort has everything a traveller would want to relax or have a good time. Rooms: Very clean. The mini fridge was restocked daily and all of the amenities worked perfectly well. The cleaning staff are very sweet. Food: Food was excellent. In particular, the main buffet 'La Pagoda' offered different options every day for every meal (including gluten-free and many veggie options). The Jimbalaya and Mediterranean restaurant were very good too. The staff at the restaurants are very attentive and kind. Pools: There's a wavepool, lazy river, deep pool, and the main pool which is huge and has a swim-up bar. The pools were never too crowded, however we did have to reserve our chairs early in the morning by the main pool because the palapas/chairs would be reserved pretty quickly from other guests. Beach: The beach and ocean do have seaweed but it is still swimmable and in fact, if you walk further down, there seems to be less seaweed. The cleaning staff at the beach do everything they can to make sure the sand is as clean as possible. No need to reserve a palapa by the beach because there's so much space. There's also a beach bar that offers snacks and lunch options (burgers, hot dogs, fries). The drinks at the bars around the resort were also very good. Entertainment: The entertainment staff (StarFriends) are so talented and have activities planned from the morning (fitness class in the pool, merengue dance lessons, foam party) to the shows at night. We watched the Big Show almost every night and loved it. There's a shopping mall near the resort, which has a café, crepe and ice cream bar, casino and a dance club. Special shout out to Alex; he's amazing at his job, always made sure we were having a good time, and is one of the sweetest people I've met. In addition, there's the StarCamp which has dedicated animators for children aged from 4 years old to teenagers! They have many activities throughout the day and have their own show at night too. This resort really has everything one needs for an amazing vacation, we can't wait to come back and definitely for longer than 10 days next time! Thanks again Paraiso Lindo and see you soon! :)
Absolutely fantastic hotel with excellent staff, food and entertainment.
This is our second visit to the Lindo the first being around 12 months ago. This time we took our neice and her son with us. Firstly I must stress how much we love Iberostar hotels. To us they make us feel happy and welcome because no matter which country we have visited, Iberostar hotels are homely & of a high standard. I will start with a couple of minor problems which to us they weren't the end of the world but some people may see them as though they are. The first problem was due to nature and cannot be helped. This was the problem with the seaweed on the beach. They did try daily to clear it with the tractor when we were there in April, but it is quite a big problem. There is quite a lot of it washing up on the beach most days. We just used to stride over it or walk through it to get into the sea. The next thing we couldn't understand was the fact that not all the water fountains were on in the pool each day. They were on the year before when we came every day. It did spoil things a little in the pool as it didn't have the same effect. When we first arrived, the reception area was lovely and had fresh flowers and was welcoming. The staff on reception were so helpful and courteous. Then we met Amy who is a concierge in the reception area of the Lindo. She is a really nice lady and is so helpful. It was only her second week working there but she seemed to really know her job. If you ever need any help then she is the lady to see. Our room was a family room with interconnecting rooms on the ground floor as I had e-mailed the hotel about a week before we arrived to request it as I have mobility problems. The bell boy took us and our luggage down to the room on a golf cart. These golf carts are a god send. We were in block 54 which we thought was pretty central to the hotel. Our room was across from the wave pool. We had a king size bed,tv, plenty of wardrobe space, a fridge, a safe, coffee machine, iron & board and a large balcony. There was a hairdryer in the bathroom. The air con worked well but we did request it be turned down to 18 because it was on 21 and when we first arrived there we were really hot. The concierge will do this for you if you ask them and there is usually one that is situated in each block in case you need help. You can also get in touch using the phone in the room. The maid cleaned every day. Her name was Elvira and she did an excellent job! She left us llittle notes every day and a different animal figure made out of a towel on the bed.We asked her just to leave diet or sugar free drinks in the fridge as my husband is diabetic and she did that straight away. The food in the buffet restaurant is excellent. We really enjoyed it & we always found something good to eat. It was a little repetative but that was not a problem for us. There was a huge selection of hot and cold foods. It was good to try new foods too. There was bacon, bolied eggs, fried, scrambled, omelettes, poached, hash browns, tomatoes, lots of cereals, various fresh fruit juices, fresh fruit, toast, donuts, churro, etc etc for breakfast. There's too much to remember! which is a good thing. Lunch included tacos, burgers, steak, chicken, pork, fish, salad, pizzas and lots more. There was always ice cream and a huge amount of lovely desserts available too. Evening meal was pretty similar to lunch but had an even bigger variety of lovely food. We booked into the steak house through Amy our concierge. We went to the Maya steak house because they were doing some work on the Lindo one (El Fogon) so it was closed temporarily. It was absolutely fabulous. We found our favourite waiter there called Jhonny! He is brilliant. He will have a good laugh with you and makes you feel special. Jhonny worked in the Lindo buffet restaurant when we came last year and we always made sure that he served us then. The steak was cooked to perfection! We visited the Sports bar for a meal and was not disappointed there either. We had the xxl burger between the four of us and some of the nachos & bbq chicken wings. You don't have to book in there you just turn up. We also went to the Rock cafe and had burgers, steak and chicken there. It was really tasty and plenty of it. You don't need reservations for here either. Another meal was at the Mexican restaurant El Tapatio. We also had to book for there. Yet again another lovely meal. We also visited the new cafe near the lobby bar in the Lindo. Its open 24hr and was always busy when we visited. They also had sandwiches hot or cold and a good selection of desserts and biscuits. We always enjoyed a drink at the Lindo lobby bar before we went for our evening meal. Here was another one of our favourites from last year Rudolfo! He is an outstanding bar tender. He remembers your drinks and is very helpful and chatty. He also works at the snake bar in the Maya. There are an excellent amount of drinks included in the all inclusive. Top shelf drinks were also included like Absolut Vodka, Jack Daniels, Gordons gin etc etc. I enjoyed the Kir Royals which is champagne and crem de casis. There were lots of different cocktails. It was great watching them making them up. These drinks were also all available at all the bars in the hotel. After our evening meal we went to the theatre to watch the entertainment. There was some on every night. It started with the kids show then the ice breaker which was really funny each night. The entertainment team are excellent. We remembered some from last year especially Ayna. Each night then there was a show on at 9.30 until 10.30 ish. They were really good. They had different themed nights like Rock Show, Las Vegas, The Circus, Broadway, Folklore and many more. Some nights there was different shows going on up in the shopping centre or in the lobby. The beach was shared with the other 4 hotels in the complex. It has lovely soft light coloured sand & is very warm. The sea is also warm. Its so nice and relaxing. Its a lovely walk on there too. As mentioned earlier the only problem is the huge amount of seaweed but it doesn't have to be a problem if you just get on with it. There was a good selection of snacks on the beach. There were hot dogs, burgers, fries, nachos, salads, fruit & the bar area too. There were picnic tables that you could sit on in the shade so you could enjoy your food and the lovely view of the beach & sea. The morning sunrise on the beach is beautiful. The pool was enormous and even if the hotel was at full capacity I think that there would be plenty of sun loungers free. It was always more busy around the swim up pool bar end because the entertainment team were down there. There is the lazy river but to be honest we never tried it. There is an ice cream parlour also above the pool bar. There was a shop down at the poolside near the wave pool selling floats, goggles etc and there were some little carts selling gifts and pottery. The wave pool was always busy especially when the Klaxon went off every hour on the hour from 10am. The shopping centre included a coffee shop, taco shop, burger bar, crepe/icecream parlour, jewellers, gift shops, star market, cigar shop, tequilla shop, casino, disco/night club, spa, pharmacy, free sweet shop(after 4pm), place of worship, kids play area, leather shop. There are a few shops in the Lindo near to the lobby. There's a Star Market, cigar lounge, tequilla shop, photo shop and jewellers. A couple of nights a week there were a few market stalls set up between the buffet restaurant and the theatre. I cannot remember which nights. We love this hotel complex so much that we have already booked to return on 28 April next year for 2 weeks, but this time we are staying at the Maya so I will be reviewing it afterwards on here. We really haven't got a bad word to say about the Lindo or even any of the hotels we have visited in the complex. ALL the staff are friendly and always speak. We would highly recommend visiting this hotel if you can. I am sure you will not regret it. Thanks for taking the time to read this and enjoy your holiday :) :)
