Amazing...and your kids will love the Star Camp
Our family stayed for a week during Thanksgiving. We've been to several resorts in Cancun/Riviera Maya. This beautiful resort is now at the top of our list, and here's why: 1. Our kids loved, loved, loved the Star Camp. The staff took them all over the resort to do so many different things. It also gave my wife and I some time to enjoy the resort as a couple. Special shout-out to Paco and David. It was hard for our boys to say goodbye to them and the rest of the staff when we had to leave. 2. Beautiful, lush property with lots of animals on the resort to enjoy. Kids especially liked that part. 3. Staff very friendly and helpful. Always someone coming around to check if you need a beverage. The entertainment team was always bringing the energy wherever they went. 4. Great beach; perfect sand, very little seaweed, clear ocean water with tropical fish to check out, able to wade out and enjoy the waves. There is also a vendor on the beach if you want to go out parasailing, snorkeling, diving, etc. 5. Large pools with plenty of room so it didn't feel too crowded 6. Plaza had shopping, disco, tequila bar, cool little coffee shop, playground for kids Food was above average. Nightly shows were decent (although the holiday show was exceptional). The gym was really nice with plenty of equipment. Rooms were of average quality (but who cares...we were pretty much only there when we were sleeping) Unless you're staying at the Cancun Hotel Zone, you're going to do a lot of walking at most of these resorts, but we actually liked the exercise. They do have golf carts constantly running around the property if you don't want to walk. I highly recommend this resort. We had a very relaxing time, and will be back soon.
It was OK.
I researched and researched on all the different resorts. I ended up picking this one. Plenty of bars and restaurants. What they don't tell you is that, upon dinner reservations, you are not allowed to try all of them. We stayed for 9 days and were only allowed to make 3 reservations during our stay.. The other three were buffet style, don't get me wrong; the food was good and all, just a little disappointed. There wasn't a lot of seafood options, like fresh, fresh seafood. We ended up going to the Star Rock cafe for most of our meals because that was off the menu and no reservation required, was very delicious, We just got tried of the buffets. And they are not open every day and only open for about 3 hours, So making reservations was difficult. What made our stay was our housekeeper Guadalupe- she attended the #35 building, She is so kind and professional. Even though my Spanish is not the best, she would still have a conversation with me and teach me new words/ phrases. She was the best part of our stay, honestly. She wasn't out to get our money or make us become a member. She was kind and genuine. I would return to Iberostar just for her. Also Jorge our concierge was spot on, he helped us when we had the wrong day for our excursion, called the agency for us to find the right day, was much easier because of the langue barrier. I found El Dorado Royle just up from Iberostar was better with the reservations as you didn't have a limit on dinner, they didn't hassle you as much to become a member. And the fresh seafood offered was amazing. Plenty of restaurants so you don't get bored of the same thing every day. Don't get me wrong Iberostar was very nice, just a little disappointed. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Just disappointed in the food variety.
From November 21 to 28 2019 we had a wonderful vacation at IBEROSTAR PARAISO BEACH. The weather is beautiful, sunny, lovely beach, excellent swimming pools. Although the resort was full of guests, there was no "crowd". Ibeostar Paraiso Beach is a very big resort, but there is no problem with moving to a distant corner. From early morning to 11PM, every 10 minutes a golf cart drives up to the destination. We stayed in building # 31, garden view, and fantastic location. 1.) 2 min. the reconstruction is one of the restrictions / buffets serving breakfast + lunch + dinner. 2.) To the swimming pool a few steps walk along a tropical garden path 3.) The beach few steps away. The resort is very well maintained, lots of greenery, flowers. Everything looks very natural, not "from a ruler", which adds charm. NO MOSQUITOES. The Resort is very clean. The water in the pools is blue, without a single leaf. Sensational service. Waitresses, waiters always with a charming smile ready to help immediately. . Food was great. À la carte restaurants are excellent, efficient and professional service. The lobby bar the bar-tender not only serves the restaurant, it even juggles bottles it is fun. During my stay, with the help of reception staff, I made a discovery. 1.) A small charming church. Every Sunday at 6PM a Roman Catholic Mass is celebrated. 2.) Stores 3.) Small casino with slots The charming Stephanie working at the concierge desk was especially nice and helpful to us. THANK YOU !!!
My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week long stay, upon arrival we were greeted by a gentleman named Anderson, he was very outgoing, friendly and familiar with the resort as well as playa del Carmen when we presented him questions about doing a day trip there. He made our stay very seamless and extremely helpful. Thank you so much Anderson! At the pool bar we were served countless drinks by Antonio and Roger, I cannot thank them enough for their hospitality and filling us with booze as we sat in the sun. All those Scooby doos went down like a freeze, the Pina colada's were marvelous, and the ice Berg's were perfection. Thank you!!!
