25th Wedding Anniversary Vacation
We had an exceptional time at the Iberostar Grand. The quality of the food and drinks was excellent, and there was always a wide variety to choose from. We stayed in an ocean front suite and the room was incredible. Also the service from our concierge Victor was the best, he went out of his way to make us feel special and help out with special requests. Another thing I liked about this resort was that the gym and exercise classes were great. I took a TRX class and really liked it. The gym is also very clean and well air conditioned. The resort also offered many instructional/informational classes that focused on being healthy, and they made the classes fun. For example, one day there was a presentation on smoothies. We golfed twice and it was the nicest course we've been on. The Star Friends were a lot of fun by the pool. If you're looking for a frat party atmosphere, this isn't your place. Looking forward to going back soon!
We have stayed at Iberostar properties in the past, but this was our favorite. there is not a bad room in the place, but we stayed oceanfront. The entire resort is like an art exhibit. So much beauty. The staff is friendly and meets all your needs. The food is outstanding--so many wonderful choices. Make your reservations early to be sure you get to enjoy each experience. The entertainment is tops! So much talent. Especially the Celtic show--violinist was exceptional. Dancers were delightful. Pools are wonderful. Main bar area is delightful. We will definitely return. Rain did not keep us from enjoying our stay.
Most amazing experience ever!
This was absolutely the best vacation experience of my life! The quality of everything is amazing but what makes the experience was the staff! Everyone is super friendly and will do absolutely anything to make your experience the best! I cannot say one bad thing about it!
5 star service
With the hotel at very high occupancy, I thought the service was going to go down last week. However, there was no shortage of staff and everyone was working really hard. The service was way more than my wife and I could even take advantage of. We stayed in a Villa and will probably do it again. We were often stopped on the walking path if there was anything at all they could do for us. I'd like to mention a few people's names who really stuck out to my wife and I throughout our stay... Orlando was an amazing Star Friend and knew my name from our first conversation. Nicole Star Friend was great to talk to as well and was able to help my wife and I on some questions we had. She would stop by frequently as well. The best waiter we experienced was Hugo from the Haiku restaurant (I think it was Friday night). The baggage people outside (for checkin/checkout assistance as well) were absolutely fantastic. They kept track of private transfers for multiple guests at once and we felt total confidence we wouldn't be forgotten. I think their names were Ricardo and Leonardo...I think one was the manager and the other an assistant. Either way, both were perfect. They told my wife and I to just go inside and have a final drink and they'd come get us when our 3rd party transportation was there. There were others but I'm so incredibly poor with names. But I do want to mention the concierge staff at the beach side building (closest to the Villas) were fantastic as well. Always asking what else they could do for us as we walked by heading to or from the beach. With a reminder of our room number one person even knew we were checking out the next day. All were quick to resolve any concerns/questions we had and did it all with a smile. My wife and I went to IGP 5 years ago for the first time and wasn't very impressed. We then went back to IG Rose Hall a few times and enjoyed that hotel more. We then decided to try IGP again and felt it far exceeded our hopes and certainly better than IG Rose Hall. We'll be back!
The BEST staff and entertainment team!
What a great resort! Beautiful place and the staff is super friendly and attentive. Oscar and Orlando from the entertainment team were awesome -- they greeted us from the first day we got there and made us feel like family our entire stire. They always made sure we didn't miss a game of volleyball! They say that sometimes it's the people that make an experience instead of the place, but at Iberostar, it is definitely both!
