Fantastic Getaway All Around
Wow! What an incredible time we had in Cozumel! Let me start by saying I was a little nervous about traveling to Mexico. I know it sounds wrong but it was an honest feeling. On Cozumel Island we felt safe everywhere we went be it on the resort, on the frontage road, our trip around the island, the beaches on the other side of the island and downtown. The people from the taxi, to Iberostar staff, to restaurant staff were nothing short of happy and entertaining! As far as Iberostar resort is concerned, it did not disappoint! We loved the size (not too big, not too small), the location (away from the cruise ships). We were in a 4 plex hut on the upper level and we loved it. The room was just the right size and it was clean with daily turnover service. The entrance is very welcoming, there was a plethora of food options and the bar staff was quick to recommend some fun new drinks (Caribbean Dream)! The path that lead over a bridge next to pink flamingos, parrots and iguanas had us entertained each time we passed. The pool was the perfect size which offered a two sided swim up bar, pool volleyball, games and water aerobics. Lots of places to lounge but get your seat early in the morning. The beach was amazing! You would also find us playing beach volleyball several times each day. It's where we met people from Michigan, Ohio, Toronto, Argentina, and so many other places. That's another reason we loved Iberostar, it was the perfect size to meet others! Dressles Dive Club is also located on site which made our 5 scuba trips very convenient! It's so easy to set up your dives! From shallow dives to deep dives, they do not disappoint. We loved our guide Mariana! She was very experienced and kept us all feeling comfortable. We saw incredible coral, swim throughs, Eagle Rays, Sea Turtles, Eel, and a Nurse Shark! Finally after a full day in the sun and food in your belly, you can enjoy the entertainment each evening in the theater. The staff is incredibly entertaining and inclusive! We loved Jerrod and how he made sure to call you by name. What a great leader! I highly recommend Iberostar to anyone and can't wait to go back!
I visited for a week with my family and they had a good selection of activities to do. From water polo and beach volleyball to face painting and morning exercises. Cesar was a very energetic and outgoing individual who always pushed for the guests to make the most out of trip. He is also very good at painting flowers :)
Had an amazing time with the family. Great resort that is able to keep you entertained. I would love to thank Paola for getting the family off of their feet! I loved the face painting, she did and amazing job! She was amazing at making is feel at home!
Loved this resort
Its very tropical with animals all over the place. I really have no complaints since we never stay up that late night life is no biggie to us. This is not a swimming beach it's more for snorkeling so remember your swimming shoes. The pool area's are beautiful and quality of drinks are wonderful. We went as a group and I recommend the upgrade to star prestige if you like nice wines and another chill out area. Erika is fantastic and will help you with anything you require and book all your a la carte's. The rooms are dated but we were fine with them as they are clean, and get cleaned daily very well. I don't normally go to resorts twice because I always like a new experience but I might be back to this one as it's completely what I look for in a resort. Recommendation do not get the lobster at the resort... my only complaint, it was terrible. However, Alberto's is right next door on the beach, go check it out. Probably one of the best lobster tails I have ever had. They also have a night life to check out with a pole...at your own risk lol. Bring bug spray, they did not bother me personally but they did a number on a few other people that came in our group.
