A truly wonderful holiday !
Just got back from a 2 week stay at this beautiful hotel. Was a little worried about what to expect as everyone seems to be all hyped up about the new Prestige Tower. You will not be disappointed whichever part of the hotel you decide to stay in. We travelled with other family members including my 5 year old. We all had an amazing time. Plenty of entertainment around the pool in the day, and also on the evenings. The entertainment team do an amazing job. Special mention to Brenda in the kids club, my son adored her. My only slight concern with the kids club is that it says there are two camps (4-7 yrs and 8-12 yrs) but they are in fact all together - I don’t think this works as no 11/12 year old wants to play with 4/5 year olds. Didn’t book any restaurants ahead of our stay, just did it when we arrived, had no trouble getting into any of them. The Bistro, Steakhouse and Japanese were our favourites. The lobby, gardens, pool areas are immaculate. There are always people cleaning and maintaining. We stayed on the 6th floor, our view was amazing. The bathrooms are a little tired and could do with a touch up - but this didn’t alter how much I loved my time here. Was a little annoyed that during our 2nd week there was a Dentist Convention on, so 100s of newly qualified dentists in their 20s checking in. It did get quite loud and was impossible to get into a lift at times - thank god it was only for about 4 days. If I’d have wanted to share my 5 star hotel with a load of 20 year olds, I’d of come during spring break. There is seaweed on the beach, it’s nature so not sure what people expect the hotel to do about it - they rake the beach each morning, so they try their best to clear it. Anyway, moving on - this place is amazing, the staff are wonderful and I’m currently sitting here looking at photos upsetting myself that it’s over.
For starters, we have stayed at a little over 50 different All Inclusives, and really liked this place! We returned last night, other than the Lightning striking our plane on the way home it was a great trip. We actually stayed on the Star Prestige side, but spent plenty of time on this side. Staff was Great everywhere we went. We were a bit worried about the food, especially with all the bad reviews about the Mexican Restaurant. A few nights as we walked by it they tried very hard to get us to eat there but we had just finished dinner elsewhere. On our last night night we decided to give it a try....and it was pretty Awesome!!! Very busy that night, but we still had Great service! I was pretty full after just the appetizer buffet. The Pazole was Great!! I also had the Arracherra, and the Hogfish. Yes 2 entrees. Both were excellent! My wife had the Grouper which was Great as well. Beach and pools are awesome. Unfortunately there was a lot of Sargassum(seaweed) on the beach, but of no fault to the resort. They worked very hard every morning to clean it up the best as possiible! Loved the location. Definitely would recommend! The Star Prestige is just Amazing! We can't wait to go back there! Things are just a step above this place. Great booze and beers everywhere!

One of Best Hotels in Cancun
Friendly helpful staffs, luxurious lobby, concierge name of "Rudy" took care of all our necessities during our 6 days stay. Family based oriented hotel, bunch of activities for our kids and also adults. Food selection was excellent with 4 different of restaurants. Give 5 stars here!!!!!!
Another perfect trip with Iberostar.
We love this property. This was our 3rd trip since Dec. 2017 and we have already booked for winter 2019. The staff, entertainment, service and amenities, along with the big beautiful grounds keep bringing us back. A big thanks to the Entertainment team for keeping us happy and active day and night - we loved the activities and the performances of the Star Band and Star Dancers. Shout out to Beto, Marina, Alex, Alexis, Mauricio, Alvaro, Danny. We notice a lot of changes to the property - like going green and becoming more environmentally friendly. We appreciate these efforts. We also felt the food in the buffet had improved since last visit - it was good before, but I think it was better this time. Shout out to Josue C. in the buffet - the best waiter ever (remembers us each time we visit). The steak restaurant is really good. The Japanese and French restaurants are good but could use some more options. We didn't try the Mexican restaurant this time. You do have to make your reservations for the specialty restaurants by email a month before your trip to ensure you get a spot. We had the best girls trip, and we relaxed and slept so well (found the beds very comfortable).
