While there is plenty to do at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, there are also a multitude of exciting activities within close proximity. It is just a 15-minute walk to the shops of Whalers Village, the town of Lahaina, and the long boardwalk along Kaanapali Beach. Website didn't lie. Swim to Bar under a waterfall. 150 ft. Waterslide under another waterfall. Breakfast Buffett was truly a Breakfast. Each day was something different. Ocean view was beautiful. Beach next to pool. Lots of Activities
Horrible room. Very dirty. The facility needs updating in the worst way. Avoid this location at all cost. The bed cover had a blood stain, the sheets were dirty, the bathtub and the counter tops were stained. The corners of the room and the air vents were filthy.
Dreaming of the Hyatt
Words cannot properly describe how we loved our stay at the Hyatt Regency. In fact, I have not started a day without recalling our wonderful stay there. I wasn’t sure if I would like the location on the popular Kaanapali Beach, but we loved it! I was afraid of the crowds, but the resort is located at the end of the Kaanapali walkway. It is a close enough walk to the Whalers village, but not so close that you will get people constantly walking by and look at the pools like they do at the other hotels. The huge spectacular lobby is gorgeous. The hotel reminds me a lot of the Grand Hyatt in Kauai, which we have stayed in many times. We had an ocean view room and I can tell you that it is worth the price to have this marvelous view. The room is beautiful. The pools are some of the best on Maui. While they were enjoyable they had a real party vibe and we preferred the quiet pools at the Hyatt Residences next door, which we were allowed to use. We had Club access and we were glad we had it because we eyed a very nice breakfast with a variety of choices. Our favorite was he salmon, bagels with cream cheese. There was always some hot dish and plenty of fresh fruit and hot oatmeal. in the evening they had a warm treat sometimes coconut shrimp and another evening Kalua pork sliders, a large bowl of potato chips and always nice selection of cheeses. It wasn’t a full dinner, but it could be dinner or a nice appetizer to hold you over before dinner.
A Stay in Paradise
We were welcomed with friendly, professional service by every member of the Hyatt team. The ocean front location, spotless rooms, the pools, restaurants and shopping are what one would hope for at a destination resort in Kaanapali. Morning walks along the ocean path, views that take your breath away and Whalers Shopping Village so close by makes this a perfect location.
Hyatt Regency Maui hits the gold bell.
This was an anniversary trip to Maui and I had a great time at this hotel due to ambiance, staff and environment. There is everything to like from checking in to checking out that is just about perfect. If I were new to Maui and wondered where to stay, I would go no further than the Hyatt Regency.
