Breakfast was excellent and a good start to the day. The Tastes restaurant was very good - enhoyed the seafood paella. The wait staff were top class. Very nice stay.

Great location
I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. It's located in the financial district. It near all the tourist attractions. Casco Viejo is just a 10 min uber ride. Rooms are spacious and the hotel staff are super friendly and welcoming. There is a kettle and refrigerator in the room. There is a KFC, Pizza Hut, BK, Starbucks all walking distance if you want a quick bite. The hotel breakfast was amazing! Very large variety and it's changed daily. There is definitely something for everybody. I would definitely stay here again.

More than I expected
First time staying at a Riu, so I didn’t know what to expect. Staff members were very friendly from the front desk to the pool to the restaurant. Breakfast had a wide variety to choose from, and based on the hotel’s location, there were a many different restaurants within walking distance to order from which was very cheap all around. Rooms were very inviting. Only problem is there’s 1, maybe 2 tv channels that are English….everything else is Spanish. Will definitely visit again in the future!!!!

We had a great stay. Everyone was nice and friendly and very attentive to our needs. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable!!

Great city hotel and the Breakfast Buffet is a once in a lifetime experience!
Great hotel located in the city of Panama. During my vacation I stayed here for six of my nights. Has very friendly staff, the rooms are nice and the views of the city are stunning. They also have a taxi service in front of the hotel and make it very easy to travel around the city. Finally breakfast buffet is unlike what I have ever seen. It is very massive with many different options; the hot food is really hot. I encourage any hotel who wants to do a good breakfast buffet for their guest to come to Hotel Riu Plaza in Panama City to see how it is supposed to be done!
- Advisory*Important Information* Panama imposes various restrictions each year for Easter. They usually begin the Thursday prior to Good Friday and run a few days past Easter Sunday. The following regulations may be enforced: -Alcohol is restricted Thursday, midnight at 12:00 am to Saturday midnight at 12:00 am. -Music is banned in Discos and public places. ,(AI resorts get a permit enabling them to serve alcohol and play music within the resort)
