A Lovely Hotel in Cartagena!!
Nice room with a beautiful view. Excellent breakfast and formidable service. The pool was too small for my taste and the beach right across the hotel was too crowded with people trying to sell you something.
Nice stay. Good rooms, pool and location near to the beach. The restaurant breakfast is OK. The staff is friendly and give good attention. Also, have a nice view to the sunset. Recommended for families and work trips. Easy access to the historical downtown. Recommended.
4 star hotel all around
Location - convenient to downtown. We walked very little in area by hotel though except to grocery down the block. We did not go to Bocagrande beach as went to islands - but view of ocean was beautiful (but do not except beautiful white sand beaches). Staff- little english speaking staff but overall everyone accommodating/helpful Pool - rooftop pool with bar. Affordable drinks. Beautiful sunset. Room - basic hotel room. No drawers for clothes but large enough closet. Decent bathroom but little water pressure in shower. Our room overlooked city but not a nice view. Gym - plenty of equipment! Breakfast - For free, no complaints except very little fruit options. Overall - 4 stars. No complaints but nothing exceptional but a wonderfully nice stay. Booked via a Groupon travel package so not sure of value per cost but affordable in my opinion.
Not worth the price.
It was not the worth the price.the bathroom was very small.the tv was small too.nothing extra special.i have stayed in other hotels in the same area paying less and would never return back to this hotel.
No Respect for Customers
It is an average hotel, I am not saying that its bad; however, realistically, they are very far from a real "5 stars" hotel. I can't understand why they offer it as a 5 stars hotel. The food is not good, further than overpriced. I know Cartagena is expensive, but for the amount paid, you expect a little bit of quality. However, the food is not equivalent to its price at all. The doors of the elevators close themselves extremely fast and it can be dangerous for people… It needs to be checked, probably the laser/reader is not working well, because they do not stop when people or objects are in the middle. The FD personal is not trained enough... They simply do not know that there are travelers with "automatic migration" (equivalent to global entry, but for Colombia) that do not get "stamps" in their passports... and they charge for the IVA (tax) not applicable to foreigner tourists. I took it easy and decided not to complaint at the moment (I was trying to enjoy my short vacations time). After a few days, I wrote to the General Manager Juan Andres Lozano, requesting the refund, attaching my passports, and proofs of my migration… and they simply ignored my email. As a customer, I expected, at least, an answer, even to say not, explaining their reasons, but they do not have the decency to give me a response… That shows clearly the level of respect they have for their customers.
