A massive hotel. Clean, all facilities working(except pool)and prob due to size very impersonal, staff largely not engaging. In a city of very high prices this represented reasonable value. Great city for walking round.

Pay less for a better stay

The price you pay will not be rendered in quality. Horrible bedding. I believe inmates get a better bed for no pay. They give quality beds to those have are color coded and it shouldn't' be this way. I have paid 200 use for a night and had the worst sleep. I believe all guest should have the same quality sleep. First impressions should lure customers back to the hotel.

    Good San Francisco Location

A Hilton has a standard of consistency that this location maintains. The rooms are clean and the location great for touring the "city". It is primarily a business hotel with many conventions and business travelers so depending of the day or what convention is holding their meetings there the hotel can be quite busy and lobby quite noisy. However our stay was perfect as the location allowed for access to the cable cars and BART and is within walking distance of China Town and even North Beach if you into a little walking. There is a nice, but expensive, bar on the 42nd floor with views of the entire city so definitely a must see especially comparing day views to night views. A number of restaurants in and around the hotel, with access to shopping, public transportation and entertainment venues may this one of our favorite hotels to stay in when we come to San Francisco.

How can a Hilton not have a lunch restaurant?

The property was well situated in the district and great access to ride share companies. A bit congested out front due to the construction. The reason I would not stay here again was no real room service and no in hotel restaurant open for lunch. Not acceptable in my book. Now if you are attending a conference and your lunch is provided, no worries. Not recommended for holiday at all.

Customer Service is alive and well...

Good to know that exemplary customer service is alive and well at the Hilton. You expect that the customer facing staff would deliver great customer service and they have but my comments are about David the gentleman that is on the Housekeeping staff. David took the time to engage me in the hallway to make sure that everything was going well. In addition to address a few requests I made, the next time I saw him he followed up to make sure all was well. Yes all is well with the customer service at the Hilton. Well done Hilton team and especially David.
