Below Hilton Hotel Quality
This hotel has some cleanliness issues. Every restaurant has flies and bugs on the food and table. A/C is very weak everywhere. The formal dine in restaurants are decent except that Fogo restaurant. Meat quality was low and meat servers were rude and slow. We sat there for 2 hours and no food was served. After we complained, they gave us a plate of dried up jerky. We were there for more than 3 hours and finally gave up. We left a message to talk to the manager and never got a response. Mexican restaurant was awesome though. Food was outstanding and service was great. French restaurant was good too but not very clean. Ants walking on the table cloth. This hotel needs some updating. The shower design was so bad that there was a big gap underneath the shower. So, water splash everywhere with every shower. Overall, this hotel is ok if the price was a little lower. It's definitely not the regular high price Hilton hotel quality.
My wife and I got married at this resort this past March. We used some photos to help the staff understand what we were looking for and they did a great job. Ricardo Perez, our wedding coordinator, made sure we had everything we needed and was a pleasure to work with. He was even able to ask the resort next door to pause their music for a few minutes so my wife and I could enjoy our first dance. We are very happy we chose to have our wedding here.
Gorgeous views and impeccable service!
We thoroughly enjoyed our 18th anniversary trip to this all inclusive getaway. La Hacienda was a beautiful and serene haven for adults only. The food was great and everyone was so friendly. We stayed in a spacious 2 floor junior suite with our own private jacuzzi. Wear water shoes, the beach is full of shells. And be ready for the local vendors strolling the beach all day long. Vallartas Adventures does great water tours, the pier is just a 7 minute walk. Insect repellant a must!
Overall, it was a wonderful getaway with really friendly people! We will be back.
My wife and I spent a long weekend on the La Hacienda side (Adults Only) of the hotel. To begin with, the staff was amazing! All local and all really friendly people. I’ve been to several all inclusive resorts and although the staff are friendly, it all seemed a little forced. Not here! They were mostly local people and were all friendly. Each and everyone you could tell they loved their city and would share with you. I can’t say it enough, supper friendly staff. The food was really good, we didn’t get to all the restaurants but the ones we did hit we liked. The buffet were just that, buffet. You get want you expect. The drinks are a little water down, but as they are unlimited, who cares. Beer in cars isn’t water down. The rooms are spacious and come with a well stocked bar. Ask or leave a note and they will customize what they stock in the bar. We got upgraded to a top floor with a outdoor tub and jacuzzi. We didn’t fill that until the last night and then found out the jets didn’t work or we were too stupid to figure out how to turn then on, other than pushing the button on the side. But that didn’t change our view of the hotel. We were also to go to the Hilton (Family) side of the resort. That is where the beach is. There are a lot of local vendors walking up an down the beach. They are friendly and not pushy at all. A simple, No Gracious, and they would walk away. Talked a little more to a few of them and they were, again friendly. Selling glass, hats, covers, foot massages, hair beading (they did a few girls on the beach). If you like something, haggle a little. It’s not hard and they are not aggressive at all. Overall, it was a wonderful getaway with really friendly people! We will be back.
We didn't face any major issues, but the quality of service and food in the restaurants could be better. It seems that they are short of staff, as sometimes there was no one attending on the pool or beach area. Also in the restaurants the service was slow and we ended having 2 hours dinners with huge gaps of no food in between.
