Quick Convenient Stay for a DIsney Weekend
I write this as a HH Diamond member. I choose this property because of the location. Last year I stayed at the other Hilton as it had a bit less negative reviews than this one. I had two free days at Disney and wanted convenience. My check-in at about midnight was outstanding, she was great, have to say better than usual, great start. I did not receive an upgrade but got extra vouchers for water and coffee. I spent very little time in my room as I was at Disney, so the bed was comfy and room OK. Free Disney transportation on-site or a short walk across the walkway to Disney Springs. $35 daily resort charge is bogus and not worth it. Long lines at the pantry to get your free coffee and bottle of water. So long I saw people just walking out with their stuff. It's a big Hotel, dated, had very little interaction with the staff as I was focused off site at Disney, I would concur with some of the not so positive comments by others. Its Disney so you do expect to pay more for your "magical" experience. if you are an annual vacationer or not a frequent traveler keep your rose-colored glasses on its all good. I would come back when the price is cheaper factoring the bogus resort charge. If you use points the resort charge is waived. I am loyal to Hilton and only stay at Hilton's that is my bias.
Good location. Short walk over the pedestrian bridge to Disney Springs. Well stocked market/convenience stores. The rooms are very clean and quiet. Landscaping was beautiful around the hotel. Parking was an additional cost
Excellent place to stay
Perfect location, proximity to Disney Parks, love the restaurants on site and it is proximity to Disney Springs. Love to take advantage of the extra magic hours. The breakfast, the Hilton honors perks are great as well.
Great location 3 minute walk to Disney Springs!
We stayed here during Thanksgiving week. We were undecided if to stay here or stay at a hotel on the boardwalk. Literally I timed it on my phone 3 min walk to DS! You just have to cross pedestrian bridge & bam you’re in Disney Springs! This hotel has free shuttles to all 4 Disney parks. My peep was that Sometimes you get the nice Mears/or Disney cruise line buses (with reclining seats) & sometimes you get the regular buses where everyone is crammed standing up or sitting on hard seats & for whatever reason bus drivers & passengers act really rude when getting k to the old buses. For this reason I wouldn’t do the park bus shuttle thing again at this hotel. I wish they only used the Mears/or Disney cruise line buses. My other peep was that Before my arrival I was trying to add our reservation # to our “My Disney Experience” I know this is not a Disney owned hotel but we’ve stayed at other non Disney owned resorts like the Dolphin hotel & they give you a reservation # that works with the Disney app. Anyways I called hotel couple times before arrival, even at check in they kept giving us the reservation # to enter on the app & said that should work, but it didn’t. Make story short finally next day in the morning one of the front desk staff told us why it wasn’t working, because they are not linked yet to be compatible with Disney app. So hotel gives you a “paper voucher that Says Magic Hours” & that’s what you show Disney cast members when getting onto rides during magic hours. Which was fine it worked. It was just annoying because we asked so many times, all of their staff should be aware of this feature being that Magic Hours is a key feature for Resorts that participate as Walt Disney Resorts. Also don’t go buy tickets from their concierge desk. Do your research before you go with their concierge desk. Our type of tickets was exactly $923 w taxes direct on Disney app. At their Concierge desk total for same type of tickets was $1,160. Almost $300 more than direct with Disney! When I asked them why such a difference, concierge was rude tone looked at me like I was stupid & rolled her eyes at me, said because with them we wouldn’t have to stand in line at guest services to pick up tickets. I simply told her no thank you and ignored how rude she was I wasn’t going to even waist my time on her. Because I knew she was Bogus! I bought went back to my room & bought my tickets on Disney app instead & instantly had my digital tickets & added my fast passes, never had to go get a paper ticket to guest services. Even if we did, guest services is quick no more than 10 minutes, we have had wdw annual passes before & have had to activate them at guest services before is not a big deal. Overall hotel is in great location, rooms are spacious enough, they have recently been renovated, but still has that 90’s decor feel but in general that’s how Hilton hotels are. Room was clean, I disliked having to go downstairs to convince store with a paper voucher to get our 2 daily free water bottles (you can’t get them all at once either & they don’t leave them for you in room either) like you already charge a resort fee & now I have to go exchange some free coupons daily for my water like a cheap motel. Overall I was a bit disappointed with staff (which is why I rate them 3 stars instead of 4) 80% of them are not at all friendly when you encounter them, also a bit disappointed that there was no Holiday decor or 🎄 in lobby like all other hotels during the holidays. Either way if you are looking for location to Disney Springs with Disney Magic hours & free Disney park shuttles then this is a good hotel to stay at.
